There was a lot of beef between East & West coast rappers. Biggie was the biggest of the East coast & 2 Pac was the biggest of the West coast at the time. Tupac was shot 5 times and survived, then made this song directed at Biggie because he believed he or his crew was involved. Not long after this 2 Pac was gunned down in Las Vegas in a drive-by shooting and there were a lot of rumors at the time that Biggie or someone from his crew did it, though no one was ever arrested for it. Several months later, Biggie was killed and it was seen as revenge for the killing of 2 Pac though, yet again, no one was ever arrested for it.
@garrickdouglas68043 жыл бұрын
Tupac was going to leave Death Row and squash the beef between Est Side and West side. He was also going to set up a record label that would include East Coast and West coast artists. I think Suge Knght had it done because his cash cow was bailing on him.

How could Suge Knight have something to do with Pac getting killed when he was in the same car. Suge was shot in the head, there’s no way you could set that up and say graze me in the head but don’t kill me. Pac was killed by Baby Lane Orlando Anderson who they jumped in that casino after the Tyson fight. Kefee Dee who was also in the car confirmed all of this. Biggie was killed because 2Pac was killed.
@@garrickdouglas6804 you are correct. Suge Knight thought he was going to make money off all the masters he had of Tupac’s music that wasn’t published. What Suge Knight failed to realize 2Pac‘s mom Afeni Shakur was a smart woman and mop the floor with him and took all of Tupac stuff from him.

this was a response to Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" and yeah, Pac did not hold back. interesting fact is the "Take Money" in the background is Faith Evans. he apparently had her sing a hook and sign off on it before she knew it would be used for this. so he used Biggie's wife's voice in the background of a diss on him. dude was savage. i think it was Prodigy that had sickle cell, he caught a stray just for being on Bad Boy, same with Lil Kim i believe, it was just her association with Biggie that got her brought in.

This is all part of the west coast vs east coast beef. Pac was shot 5 times in a hotel lobby (“5 shots couldn’t drop me, I took it and smile”) going to meet Biggie and he thought Biggie set him up. And this diss was released when Biggie dropped “who shot ya” which he didn’t say it was directed at pac but for alot of people and pac himself that was enough proof that biggie set him up and so he released hit em up on him and that really made the west coast vs east coast beef go violent, at that point there was no choosing both. You either picked pac or Biggie. You would be murdered if you were to go into compton and started playing Biggie, or if you went to brooklyn and played 2pac. In the same year Pac would be shot again while leaving a mike tyson fight in Las Vegas, and this time he didn’t make it. Alot of people though biggie had him killed but personally I think it was just because he jumped this guy named Orlando Anderson and Orlando Anderson just Retaliated against pac when he got the chance. But at the time alot of people though Biggie put out the hit and so about a year later in 1997 Biggie moved to California (which I think was a huge mistake to do that, especially so early) and in march of that year was shot dead. I personally think Tupacs people had Biggie killed because they thought that Biggie had pac killed. This was some real real beef, it caused the death of the top 2 greatest rappers of all time.

It was one man that felt betrayed by a friend because he knew Pac was gonna get robbed and never warned him about it.Big knew it was gonna happen to cuz his homeboy and (manager I think) Jimmy Henchmen set it up. All the Outlaws were from the East Coast and Tupac was just starting to record an album called "One Nation" withe rappers from the East and West before he died. He didn’t really have a problem wit the East, jus some people that lived out there

You probably already know this by now, but just in case you didn't. PAC believed that BIGGIE & BADBOY had something to do with him getting shot 5 times which is why he mentioned it in his verse and saying they didn't finish. It's a shame PAC and BIGGIE died. We were robbed of two of the greatest lyricist. 😇R.I.P.🙏

Tu pac is one of my all time favorite rappers from back in the day. Yes they had a true rival back then it was legit. They beefed at each other through their lyrics a time before social media, so we had to wait til the next album came out to find out what was going on both sides of the tracks meaning both rival sides. It was an intense time for sure between the bloods and crips or as others would say the East coast and the West coast. Snoop Dogg actually put together a protest to stop the violence and to come together. I’ll always remember where I was when Tupac got shot the last time around like most of back in the day would. It was all over the radio which back then most of us still listened to or a cassette tape. It was a different time. Thank you for sharing I’m new to your channel and enjoy seeing your reaction to music I grew up on. Blessings😇🙏🏻✨

The gang culture in the 90s was literally a war. Tupac is my favorite and this song here is characteristic of the gang life style. I did my dissertation on deviant behavior amongst poverty stricken communities. This is a very historical time in America.

Gone wayyyyyy toooo soon!!!! I LOVE seeing younger generations reacting to Pac, ESPECIALLY this diss track lol! Bc it really puts into perspective how shitty rappers and rap music are today lol!!! And to think Pac died at 25, like 25 years young!!!🥺 but hey, legends never die, right??❤️💪

Facts. I said back then you can't make songs like this and still live a full life. My favorite rapper gone way too soon. He has so much more he could contributed.

Moral of the story, Pac was a Tru Thug. A great poet, a brilliant mind ahead of his time but, the wrong people broke his trust so he went all out on them even though I don’t think they knew what was going on. Just IMO

Im old as hell lol. I appreciate you saying your truth, you never heard this song...respect. I haven't heard a lot of new songs that would make people look sideways at me. The rap I grew up on was so damn hard...it's hilarious for young people to hear it. Tupac literally died for the game. So much respect.

8:55 he is Yaki Kadafi, a member of The Outlawz, was killed a couple months after Pac was killed because he was going to talk to the police since he knew who the shooter was. He didn't give a damn about being labeled a snitch...but thats what got him killed, before he talked.

Forget the haters. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m enjoying watching you (re)discover music and artists I loved since high school/college. Pac gave zero fuqs when the east coast/west coast beef came to be. I was in the midwest (Chicago) just watching. 👀

I was going to say the same thing. These people kill me. He's young and don't know a lot about the people back then in hip hop. He wasn't even born when Pac was alive. I love seeing reactions of the younger generation. It takes me back in the day 😁. I wish people would stop trolling and just enjoy. Keep doing what you do and don't let these BUTTTTTTTTS discourage you . Keep up the good work 👏 👍

Always going down rabbit holes & find new peeps. But sometimes takes me a min to go back & check some of their older content. Always good to see young peeps who wanna educate selves on both real history but also lighter shit like entertainment(music/movies)from past. Obv wit each newer generation, they obv all aren't gonna be in the know of every artist/album/song let alone history of entire genres. Not knowing a certain song is nothing to be ashamed of so w/e to that clown from down under. Like it even matters if ya first knew a song at 13 or 22? Who gives a F. Glad ya finally got to check this out tho. Nas/Tupac/Jay/Biggie/Em been my top 5 since 90s-early 2000s. But Wayne & Kanye have made it hard keeping em out. lotta fire rappers tho have come & gone. But something bout 90s-early 2000s rap hits dif. Some of it may be bias, but also no denying how dope the music they all put out was. Crazy that Biggie hates Juicy when it's considered 1 of the all-timers. Step into a World from KRS-One. Its a song I rarely ever hear young reactors get to. But when that came, it just hit different in the cars to had the alpines in em. Could literally hear bass from a mile away
