One of my favourite live performances by Nightwish. The guys having fun, Floor releasing her inner wolf, Tuomas windmilling fit to rock his keyboards off the podium. 🤘🤘❤❤

agree. love the message and perfprmance of this one. all but those last "seven days to the wolves" repeat by Marco. almost spoken and seems out of place.

Yes Emppu does intentionally .drag the beat in this solo. Not a lot of people pick up on it. I assume that’s why he has a shit eating grin when he does it because he knows he’s being cheeky lol

"Wembley lets goooo".... and it did. Epicness right there from start to finish. I have no words to describe how this phenomenal group of musicians reach right in and give me the "feels". We are privileged to witness musical greatness. "7 Days to the Wolves"... layer after layer of magnificence with surprises all the way and but one of so many gems from a Nightwish treasure chest filled to the brim. It is criminal how Nightwish is ignored by "mainstream" radio. Thank you sir for a great reaction. Paul 🙏😊👍

The song is definitely in my Nightwish top-10, but this performance in particular is in my top-3. All because of the crazy, out of this world crescendo Marko and Floor take it to. Hurling cosmic thunderbolts caught on camera with that iconic fire-breath Floor where you paused for a replay. TY, this was a real treat and all around great reaction! Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘

When Floor yells 'Wembley, let's go', and her silent scream near the end; goosebumps, every single time! Floor doesn't even need to speak, or sing, and she has you! Incredible charisma and stage presence. And she can sing, too, apparently! ;-) You picked out the horn part, which I had actually missed, despite listening to this many times. You have good ear, sir! But then, every time I listen to a Nightwish performance, I notice something different. Tuomas's compositions are so layered, they keep you interested. And again, as always, they are all so enjoying what they do, it is uplifting to watch. Another enjoyable and imformative reaction.

For me a really really great reaction to a Nightwish classic. Emppu's solo, just like every one I have ever heard or seen, is pure class. Thank you.

Very good Mr. MMR, your interesting reactions encompass some good analyses and insights. I believe you're hearing some strings and brass from the London Symphonic Orchestra, that's what's on the tracks and Tuomas always works with them and their arranger Pip Williams, who incidentally has said on video that Tuomas is a genius. As I have no chance of ever scoring and arranging for an orchestra in the remaining 5 billion years of our sun, I would bow to Pip's better judgement on these matters, not that I thought otherwise anyway. I understand Tuomas leaves Emppu to write solos on his own and he can be trusted to come up with just what is needed, certainly there is nothing wasted or frivolous embellishment in their music or lyrics; everything is there for a reason and has its place. I believe this song was inspired by Stephen King's "Wolves of Calla" from the Dark Tower V, however, I think its message is that life is only seven days behind you, so you need to keep going forwards or get left behind.

Ah, at last. My number 3 and one of Floor's favourites. You noticed the silent howl! For pretty amazing Marco bass watch when you get to The Poet and the Pendulum, when Marco does the heavy vocal about the rotting Poet, his hands are all over the fretboard at thd same time. Fantastic. Played 235 times on tour its a current staple - 17 times in the current tour so I'm hoping it will be at Wembley again in November. Yes, Marco commonly does that little rasping hand-off at the dnd of a vocal.

To me I like how Emppu falters a tiny bit in the middle of his solo (I think it was an emotional slow down) because he is smiling so much at the crowd. Having fun! Great guitar player with the hugest heart. His smile throwing his pick and connecting with the person who caught it. LoL on our Fire Breathing Valkyrie Goddess!

This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor .... Plus, Floor's inner Wolf Howl (Dragon breaths fire) holy mother of Odin !!! I have seen this song Live in my home country Estonia, all though it was without Marko, but Troy really steps up and harmonizes with Floor like never before. Still getting goosebumps, even if I write in here. And that Emppu solo... He just teases you with that millisecond (just look at that grin he is making). The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. That's what Tuomas said in one interview some time ago. Howl and thank you!!! NWSU 🤘🐺🤘.

When it comes to Marco's masterful use of the bass, keep in mind, the bass is his second instrument. He could hold his own against Empuu or Troy on a standard six-string as he originally played guitar. Can't wait until you meet "The Beast" and as far as I have seen there are only a few songs where he plays both parts, Elvinjig/Elvinpath is a sure bet.

Yes, the lyric 'And suffer like all the dead children' was Marko's line. Hadn't really taken notice of Tuomas keyboard part that you liked after the change, Troy's Bouzouki always catches my attention in that part. The song itself is telling you to go out and live your life as best you can, as the 'Wolves' are always 7 days behind you. The song title was inspired by the Stephen King book 'Wolves of Calla'

Only Nightwish will dare to play a Bouzouki in a metal song and make it sound great :-) And in the second half our Queen nearly turns into a Werewolf :-) This is just great.
