There's a trilogy (courios enough it has four songs) that envolves both bands, Tool and A Perfect Circle, related to Maynard's mother who's name was Judith Marie. It will be good for you to listen the songs in order. "Jimmy" from AEnima by Tool, "Judith" from "Mer de noms" by A Perfect Circle, and "10,000 days-Wing for Marie Pt. 1" and "Wings for Marie Pt. 2" from "10,000 days" by Tool.

His mother was paralyzed by a stroke and a very religious and faithful woman and This happened when he was 11...his dad and his step dad...different story. He also has written songs about a love/hate relationship with an ex gf. His love for his mother is undeniable

Great video man, he's a very talented man. His mom suffered a stroke when he was young. She suffered for atleast 10,000 Days which is the title of Tool's album. 10,000 Days & Wings for Marie These 2 songs are one so must be listened to in one sitting, but it's emotional because it was his goodbye since she had passed. Also he did Judith, in A Perfect Circle. I would recommend Judith first, but ultimately it's your call. Personally I can't wait to see another video man keep them coming 👍 R.I.P Judith Marie

When you listen to APC, it is Maynards softer side of his vocals and even though the songs are shorter, they are still AMAZING! It is Bill Howardell, just to clarify, not Howard. Billy is a GENIUS on the guitar as well. Welcome to the land of Maynard! Enjoy the rabbit hole my friend!
