I love it when Tyler has such strong reactions and Melissa is like „I should react also in some way but I’m not the strong reactor as Tyler is“, so she gets stuck in the middle with her face - which is always adorable.

@German Morawski In the live version, they, by its nature, sing in full voice and it has much more steel and power. In the studio, you can sing it more softly into the mics without worrying about carrying power. Their voices sound weaker in the studio. I don't care for it.

I still own the original 7 inch '77 from Name of the Game' that has this on B side live from Australia.Un fortunately the sax solo part was 'studio-silenced' but Frida's performance is perfect!

Depending on my mood THIS is my favorite ABBA song of them all. Lyrically the composition and above all Fridas vocals. It’s a bit her life story in it. The I wonder part is like a drop down chorus only to eventually raids into the heights and glory of the actual chorus… so two choruses. There is a splendid live version of it. Frida shows all her emotional and technical range and abilities here. Pure perfection of a ballad. Didn’t like that much when I was younger but it grew on me over the decades.

The looks on your faces were priceless - this is the thing Abba have their lesser known tunes but without doubt huge majority of them are just as flipping brilliant as their more wider known played ones that is the extent of how great their vast catalogue is. I think for me that is the one mistake they made terms of the Mammia Mia sequel that, for most people when they watched the movie they didn't know/ had not heard those particular songs before save for say One of Us and Knowing Me Knowing You that was used in it. Reaction was still positive as they are all still great songs but yeah I just reckon when they did the pre release marketing/ trailers they should have made a point of giving emphasis to Abba songs for some people would be enjoying for the first time/ enjoying from not being as familiar with etc.

Frida is the only pro vocalist in ABBA. The pro vocalist and their natural front and center performer entertainer. Stage since 1956. Pro since 1958, age 13. Stage theater cabaret TV & radio. ALL LIVE. Stellar reputation among music peers since grade school. Dig into ABBA. Learn about them before they were ABBA. The seeds were planted by Stig Anderson in the 60's. Bjorn Ulveras was his first signing in 1963. Also the same year any of the core four met each other. Bjorn and Frida met in 1963. Bjorn and Benny met in 1966 and starting writing. BB were hired as Polar Music house producer's in 1971. Agnetha came along with Bjorn. Frida and Benny were gf/bf but Frida was uncommitted to the group, even though the foursome worked together. Learn what Stig Anderson/Polar Music had to do to secure Frida. It was not easy. She knew her value. She knew the business. Stig Anderson/Polar Music may have been Polar Music but Frida had all pull. In 1972, (Frida left the foursome after their cabaret shows winter of 70-71), Stig Anderson/Polar Music after a year or so, offered Frida a lucrative contract deal and she accepted. Stig named them ABBA, but he wanted the public to pick their name. The public also picked ABBA. ABBA: Bright Lights Dark Shadows The Real Story of ABBA By Carl Magnus Palm The Dark Shadows part was losing Frida. The group was done. No more foursome. No future ABBA. Frida was hesitant to join a pop group as she preferred the more challenging vocal centric genre's, however, pop was more lucrative. Once she committed, Frida, was ALL in. She was now a pop singer, leaving the vocal centric genre's for the lucrative pop music genre. ABBA/Polar Music Team: Stikkan 'Stig' Anderson Gorel Johnsen-Hanser Anni-Frid Lyngstad Benny Andersson Bjorn Ulveras Agnetha Falkskog Rutger Gunnarsson Michael B Tretow & ABBA's loyal top rank session touring musicians.

Frida again :)) I like the meaning in this one. I am looking forward to when you guys get to Kisses of Fire with Firey and passionate Agnetha! Also Why Does It Have To Be Me Live in Australia! The version uploaded by ABBA videos 4 or 5 months ago or so is far superior in quality to others around so I reccomend that. But yah the live version has Frida killing it with Agnetha getting changed backstage. The best version.

Thank You For the Music is the talented, joyful, hopeful girl, aware of her talent; I Wonder is the apprehensive woman giving up her existing life for a shot at stardom; I'm a Marionette is the woman feeling exploited in the music business, a puppet who is not in control of her own life. A sad ending to the naive joy of the first song. I'm a Marionette is the last song in the trilogy and it's Abba like you've never heard them before. TURN THE MUSIC UP. IT'S TOO LOW.

And next week MUST be I'm a marionette, I can't wait! It's the end of the trilogy [ I still wish they had faded in and out 'Get on the carousel' between the last two tracks on the album], it is an unrelenting, powerhouse of a track that leaves you feeling like you have just stepped off a carousel. Marisa and Tyler, congratulations in advance for doing the songs from the mini musical in their orderly sequence you will be the first to do it complete and in order ABBA made a short musical which was performed live on Europe & Australia tour 1977 "The Girl with the Golden Hair" is the title of the musical is a continuous story of four songs in sequence: 1) The girl with the golden hair (will be "Thanks for the music") 2) I wonder 3) I am a marionette 4) Get on the carousel The first three, with modifications, were included in "ABBA The Album", a masterpiece like an album, with fantastic and totally different 9 master songs I wonder (departure) it is the second song of the mini musical (it is the continuation of Thank you for the music) the lyrics explore the loneliness of the protagonist, far from her affections (in her tour performance, there is a spoken intro between songs) in the mini-musical Frida and Agnetha are both wearing the same looks, including blonde 'rococo-style' wigs "I wonder (departure)" It's a softer ballad that goes perfectly with Frida's deepest voice has a powerful choir with Agnetha and a beautiful instrumental melodic bridge to then return to the second part in a similar way the melody from I wonder was 'rescued' by ABBA for the quartet's final bow at the current Voyage Concerts at London's ABBA Arena in my humble opinion "I wonder" is a beautiful ballad, beautifully sung by Frida in leads (with Agnetha in chorus) but within the mini musical, and within "The Album" too, it is my least favorite of them all (it had to touch someone) and this is a compliment to both the fantastic mini musical and the superlative album if "I wonder" is 7/8pts, which is great, everything else is even better, it is the highest bar of ABBA in their best album and their best creative moment and interpersonal relationships I'll wait for you in next video: "I'm a marionette" It will be extraordinary to see Your reaction (I will not say more to save the surprise) I leave you a big love from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South América
