2:28 Fun Fact for you Phil and Sam: The bell you hear tolling in the opening of this song, they'd tried to record it from a bell in a church tower near where they were recording the album, and every time they tolled the bell, they picked up the fluttering of wings from the pigeons that had picked that spot to roost, thus ruiningthefootage, so they'd had to go to the actual bell foundry where the bells were made have one cast and the tolling you hear was the test tolling after it came out of the mold

I am always amazed when an adult of any background says "first time hearing"; Back in Black, Hells Bells or Highway to Hell, Paranoid or many other popular rock songs. Maybe first time actually paying attention to such songs, but these songs are so deeply embedded in culture, my grandparents have heard most of these songs...just unbelievable. I'm honestly curious how you become an adult human without having heard many of these songs.

I don't understand why this idea of "never heard this" is such an underpinning of the reaction genre. I don't believe half of their protestations about not hearing the songs, not that it makes any difference, I just hate them lying about it.
@kevinm3428 Жыл бұрын
The death of radio killed the opportunity of young people today to hear things that aren’t on your music streaming service. In my youth of the late 70’s and early 80’s, we all knew music from the older kids, as they played on radio stations we all were listening to. Needless to say, modern ‘music’ is created with computer enhancements, and therefore lacks technical musicianship, artistry and really sucks.

back in the day, when I was a teenager and watching MTV in the early 1980's, one of the things that always caught my eye about AC/DC was Angus, not just that he played lead guitar, but how he played it. in my junior year of high school, the school hosted a talent show for the students to be in. me and a group of friends did a lip-sync/air guitar performance of AC/DC with me playing the lead guitar part, and it just wouldn't seem right if I didn't do it just like Angus did! shorts, hat and all. when I was getting ready to graduate a year later, people were still talking about our performance!

They opened the show with this song...and there was a huge bell that descended from the roof...and Brian was riding it! , pretending to strike it in rhythm with the song. That show was my first (and still best) rock concert memory. 9:41 Hey, Sam, in reference to Angus' schoolboy uniform that hhe wears as part of the act. That goes back to when they werw starting out, Angus would oftentimes go to rehearsal straight after school without even changing out of his school uniform and his sister actually made schoolboy uniform outfits for him regarding this as he'd eventually graduate to wearing normal clothes on-stage. Also, the band got their name from the AC/DC plug on the back of their sister's sewing machine and not realizing that AC/DC was also a slang term for bisexuality
