This is a fire bop, if i ever heard one. People didnt know where to put it when it came out, in the US they even got played and charted on the alternativ charts. It went to #1 in almost all countries in the world, dark reggae/ pop/ Dance/ dubstep mixture, insanely catchy and with a cooler than cool vocal delivery by leadsinger Malin Berggren.

4:39 - The whole band called themselves "Ace of Base", I believe because well...they were very good with their base sounds. All their songs had heavy base...at least all their popular hits did.

New sub from me bro! Ace of base in the 90s over here in the uk changed the game for a good decade. The reggae beat, with a electronic 2 step vybe mixed with the two angelic voices smashed it in europe and set the bar for anyone thinking of jump on the reggae electronic band wagon. Cant fault the whole album i was 10 when it dropped in 94 and still brings a smile to my face woth every hook and chorus. AOB still slaps 30 years later and love to see the smile it brinfs To you its infectious and you cant help but vybe out x

Their music actually is a blend of funk, fusion, reggae, and techno-pop.

You should check out their song "Wheel of Fortune". That was another big hit from that album.

Wow. Thank you sir. This is the *best* reaction I've heard all night and I've heard quite a bit of boring reactions.

I remember binge listening to this CD for 4 hours on a drive with some teammates to a swim meet in 1993. A female teammate had brought the album and it played on a loop the entire way. I didn’t find out until the 2000s that Ace of Bass was kind of a white supremacist band. Or they were at one time. I don’t remember the name of the song, but there’s one in particular that promotes Neo Nazi propaganda. It kind of surprised me, but then again, I’m white and usually I can sniff this stuff out a mile away. Once I read about that, their songs hit very different for me. I don’t know if anyone can verify the song I’m referring to.

There's no Nazi propaganda in Ace of Base. Ulf Ekberg, one of the band members, was a skinhead in 1986 (but he was also 13 until December 1986). He left that lifestyle before joining/forming Ace of Base in 1990. The song "Happy Nation" actually argues against extremism, war, and violence. The music video actually shows the horror of violence, war, and destroying the planet.

It was only one member( the blond guy) that was before the band started associated with Nazi propaganda in Sweden in the 80s but he already distanced himself from it when the band started. It's not fair to call them a white supremacist band when three members of the group literally had absolutely nothing to do with it and the one member that did was a teenager at the time and distanced himself from it 30 years ago.
