Lyrics:.🤗🤗 When I look into your eyes I can see a love-restrained But darling when I hold you Don't you know I feel the same, yeah Nothing lasts forever And we both know hearts can change And it's hard to hold a candle In the cold November rain We've been through this such a long long time Just trying to kill the pain, Ooh yeah But lovers always come and lovers always go And no one's really sure who's letting go today Walking away If we could take the time to lay it on the line I could rest my head Just knowing that you were mine All mine So if you want to love me then darling don't refrain Or I'll just end up walking In the cold November rain Do you need some time...on your own Do you need some time...all alone Ooh, Everybody needs some time...on their own Ooh, Don't you know you need some time...all alone I know it's hard to keep an open heart When even friends seem out to harm you But if you could heal a broken heart Wouldn't time be out to charm you Sometimes I need some time...on my own Sometimes I need some time...all alone Ooh, Everybody needs some time...on their own Ooh, Don't you know you need some time...all alone And when your fears subside And shadows still remain, Oh yeah I know that you can love me When there's no one left to blame So never mind the darkness We still can find a way Nothing lasts forever Even cold November rain You're not the only one You're not the only one Don't ya think that you need somebody Don't ya think that you need someone Everybody needs somebody You're not the only one You're not the only one

'Appetite for Destruction' is one of the all-time best selling albums because it hit hard at a time when the Glam Rock was fading and Grunge was setting in. Techno fizzled, Metal was still niche, and Huey Lewis was doing whatever Huey Lewis does in his spare time. GNR really kept Rock alive in that transition period and it was a rare day when MTV didn't play one of their vids. Def Leppard held on as well and is worth a listen. Both the Pyromania and Hysteria albums were fantastic, with the latter being probably their best in terms of style and sound. Very well designed and a great one to play in the background for a lot of things.
@stacypollock6429 Жыл бұрын
Las, this was the beginning of the end of GNR. Appetite for DESTRUCTION was their debut, - hard, raw, uncensored, it was hard rock. Next thing you know Axl went into psycho therapy and they went to crap, imho. The edge was gone, the anger was gone, and they went soft. Axl was molested as a child - hence the anger, the raw, unapologetic, in your face, charisma, and when Slash agreed to play with Michael Jackson...? It was too much for Axl and he told Slash so. Axl saw how far they had sold out to the dark side. Nope. After Appetite all you had left was waterd down fans.

The first part of the song talks about the need to be alone and after the drop into the second part it's about needing someone and not being alone. The drummer in that video is Matt Soren, though the original drummer for the group was Steven Adler. Axl fired Adler citing his drug problem as the reason. Lead guitar is played by "Slash" which is the stage name of Saul Hudson. He wore his hair like that to block out the large audiences they played, stating that he was a bit shy, and the crowds freaked him out. The iconic guitar in his hands is a Gibson Les Paul model, though the actual guitar used on much of the "Appetite for Destruction" album was a hand-built custom that looks like a Gibson Les Paul. The band has had several lead guitar players, notable among them was D.J. Ashba who played with the band for six years.
