Stephen Tyler wrote this when he was just a pup,16 I believe . What introspective he was born to ROCK!

I used to tell my kids, "I once felt sorry for a man with no shoes, until I saw a man with no feet." Work hard to love what's in front of you because what's behind you is just a memory. I can tell you felt this one, Stax. You found the message!

I always heard the joke version: Once I wept for I had no shoes. Then I met a man with no feet. So I took his shoes. It's not like he was using them.

This song is so powerful and eerily beautiful... Masterpiece! Steven Tyler actually wrote this song as a teen, like some prophetic vision of his future! Incredible! To be honest, I don't believe in that story, because nobody has the level of wisdom that the lyrics of this song show at 14-16!!! Maybe he came up with the startings of the melody... maybe. If it was the lyrics, then I would say he probably used some lyrics from his father or grandfather...

Listen bro, all millionaires today will tell you, they failed 90% and succeeded 10% in all they did, but with using the Law of Attraction and smart senses and the DRIVE to not stop trying, they ultimately won! There is wisdom there: In order to Win you have to Try. If you don't Try and fail, then dare to Try again, you NEVER will succeed!
