This was the R&B cover of a great Bee Gees song with the same title… And the Bee Gees were for ever grateful to Al Green because they loved his music, that he decided to cover theirs and it worked out for everybody

Indeed, fans complaining about stealing music have to shut up, especially the black people that complain that white people sing their songs. They complain the most. Music is universal.

The original "How can you mend a broken heart "was written and recorded by the Bee Gees .Barry and Robin Gibb wrote the song in an effort to heal their broken relationship as a group and as brothers.Maurice stayed out of it ,but did sing on the record. It was nice, but when Al Green covered it, he made it his own .So soulful. The production.Wow. Those Gibb Brothers were brilliant writers .RIP Robin Maurice and little brother Andy .Carry on Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb.Age 75 and counting.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. An amazing rendition of a Bee Gees classic. Can't go wrong with that combination. It doesn't look like you've reacted to the Bee Gees doing the song? If you do, I would choose one of the older videos from when the song first came out in 1971. This was a concert staple for the Bee Gees and a crowd favorite for thier entire career. As far as Al Green is concerned, my absolute favorite is "Let's Stay Together."
