I could never get enough of lead singer's Randy Owen's sultry voice! You could listen to their albums from start to finish, and start it over again. As a Gen X kid who grew up to Alabama and other great 80's music, I think it's great that the younger generation can appreciate it! P.S. You can eat at our dinner table anytime you're in KC, Rickk! ❤

Old Flame is another excellent one by the Super Group Alabama. I'm from Alabama ...born and raised and lived here all my life and this awesome band has many hits, but My Homes in Alabama is their song that first made them a hit and to this day still gives me chills.

I have been fortunate to see them twice in concert, They are amazing and they always have an ASL interrupter because Randy Owned (lead singer) wife is deaf. The band was founded by Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass, backing vocals). They were soon joined by another cousin, Jeff Cook (lead guitar, fiddle, and keyboards). They had 41 #1 hits We lost Jeff to Parkinson's Disease Nov 8th 2022

Rick you really touch the heart of me! I feel like God puts your enthusiasm and love in my path- I’m a 55 year old white Roman and you express what I feel and believe- we are all ONE! Your spirit is uplifting and you have found your purpose !! Btw, I saw this concert at age 12 with my mama- I gave Randy a rose after this song on stage, and he leaned down and kissed my forehead. I swore I’d never wash that spot lol! Anyway I had the joy of seeing alabama last month with my 22 year old daughter at the Wisconsin st fair. Just as great over 40 years later! Life is such a blessing!!

Oh, this one brings back so many memories. Thank you!. Such a beautiful song. I got to see Alabama and Lynyrd Skynyrd together in concert. In the 80's . Slow dancing to this at the concert, outside under the stars...it was a magical night for a young teen girl.

The group Alabama is called a "Super Group" for a reason; they started out being called "Wild Country" and played mostly Southern Rock and oh yeah wrote both lyrics and music for their albums, leads Rand, Teddy and Jeff are actual real life Cousin's from the Mountains of Alabama a town called Fort Payne, this is by far one of my all time favorite groups (even if they did screw over their drummer Mark) the mark that Alabama left on Country Music was a foot print followed by many to this day. The band used to do a charity fair called the "June Jam" in Ft. Payne every summer and it was a huge event I went to everyone of them; it got to the point the town could not handle the amount of people. Give the linked video a watch and listen; Randy tells some interesting tid bits. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4avpISHmq9kl7s Angels Among Us -- Alabama one of my top favorites. Then again I loved every album this band released a few songs here and there that were eh; but no other Country group has been able to match or repeat their talent, in my opinion.

Sorry Lee, you're wrong about the lyrics. If you type in "Country Roads Randy Owen sings Feels So Right" it will take you to a video where Randy sings the song and talks about these very same lyrics. The words he sings are ... "Breathe words upon my skin". If you can't find the video on KZbin, you can Google the lyrics and you'll see that the correct words are "Breathe words ...". Lots of people have been singing it wrong for a long time.

I don’t care what genre it is, they don’t make real music as a whole anymore. Every now and then you get a good song but to me, they 90’s was the start of the downfall of real music. The soul is gone and replaced with dollar’s and cent’s. It’s nothing like taking a vinyl album out of the case after waiting a year for your favorite artist to release a new one. The old way’s are gone and it’s a damn shame. We had so much fun waiting for the new Earth Wind and Fire or the new Alabama song to come out. No more thought, so sad.
