This was a song that came out at my lowest point. The voice that accompanied my pain. Kept me from being alone. Kept me from breaking. I still dive down the Korn rabbit hole now and then.

I see so many comments saying that this song or another helped them. English isn't my native language so I didn't have any interest into understand the lyrics, it was all about the music itself and the voice was and still like an instrument when I hear it. I'm 38 years old now and went through so much shit, even suicide last year. I'm only discovering the meaning of all these songs I used to listen to. Bands like Korn and Linkin Park are therapists for all of us.

Untouchables is one of Korn's best albums. I haven't had a chance to listen to the newest album but heard it is awesome. Being along time Metalhead, makes me happy to see someone who isn't really into the genre give it a chance. If it hadn't been for Megadeth, Metallica, Testament and other bands then I would have been in a world of hurt. Even at 46, Metal helps me work out everyday frustrations.

I highly recommend listening to the album The Nothing. Most of the lyrics tell the story of Davis dealing with grief following the loss of his wife. It's not an easy listen if you know the story behind it, but I feel that it's powerful, and it has helped me through losses I've had.

Hi Amanda I just watched your mudvayne falling down reaction in which you talked about dealing with people who pretend to give you advice, but their advice has nothing to do with you or your situation. THis is very common for me. I am an empath and I am completely different but would like to share. I am very reserved and keep to myself yet everyone I meet is completely comfortable with me and always tells me their life story. I just sit there and listen and let them know that I appreciate their story. Even if you dislike talking with people just give them the respect and listen to them as it will make their day

❤ Hi Amanda, I love that your covering Korn. I based my rythm from Korn. I'm a Rythm Guitarist. Korn went national and I bought their first album 'Shoots and Ladders'. It was also the last time I bought a cassette. The Drummer in my band introduced me to Korn. Before that it was Dream Theater. 1 particular song='Pull Me Under'. Today my #1 is Nightwish. I applaud you for dealing with your mental anguish and helping others to do the same.❤ "For someone so deep in the dark-keep yelling and you will be heard. Take your hands out of your pockets, wave out but, more importantly-reach out. There will be a hand to pull you back. Never give up as God won't, even if you can't see it at first) We all go there in one way or another. Some get trapped and can't move. YOUR NOT ALONE! ANYONE READING THIS POST!!! REMEMBER THIS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I can't fully express how much it means to know that my words can help you, even in a small way. You're not alone in feeling this way, and your strength in holding on, even when everything feels like a lie, is truly incredible. Ask yourself what would make your life feel more authentic. Please keep taking it one day at a time (I am right there with you sometimes!), and know that there are people out here who care, even if it doesn't always feel that way. I'm here with you, I believe in your resilience and I care if your light goes out. Stay strong, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.

I saw Korn tour for Follow the Leader at the beautiful Palace of Auburn Hills with Rob Zombie on the "Rock is Dead" tour. That was probably before this girl was born...lol. Anyway, I stumbled across this video and thought the message was important. I am borderline Agoraphobic, among other OCD related issues. Right now is a tough time for folks who were already dealing with some stuff! It's not a great time for germaphobes and people with social anxiety issues...I'm glad that someone is using their platform to try and help.

Korn is amazing at addressing the topics of mental health, bullying, and making those that suffer feel not alone. Faget and Hater are two of my favorites as someone who was bullied a lot as a kid. A suggestion for the future, a couple of songs by Mushroomhead that I think you might enjoy: Graveyard Dujour and Solitaire/Unraveling. Shroom is an interesting band, especially the older stuff.

I consider this my theme song. I relate to so many of the things in it, especially since I've been struggling with my own shit for at least 20 years now and I just cant beat it. I'm not gonna say much more about it, because while I'm sure some can understand how I feel I don't really expect many people to understand why I feel that way. For any of you reading this that struggle for one reason or another, I wish you the best and wish you good luck in being able to overcome because I know first hand that it isn't easy and that not all of us will overcome it.
@MentalAmanda

I will tell you the same thing I tell my son. When you start a sentence with 'I can't' it should always end with 'yet.' I thought once upon a time I couldn't beat it either. Because it wants you to believe that. But you have SO much more power than you realize. There are SO many options. I DID beat it and I believe that you can too.

Korn had a drawing for a fan to create this vid. It was a fan that directed this vid!!! That was mind blowing to me back then. Shit like that just did not happen (it is rare today). Korn is, to this day, my favorite band on the planet because I feel Jonathan's pain. They aren't the most talented or always radio friendly, but his emotions are cathartic to me because it says to me that I am indeed not alone.

Would love to see you react to Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust (their most well known song and the music video got voted as the best Finnish music video ever back in 2006 when the song was released). Truly an underrated band from here in Finland. Also a band with many different sounds all the way from slow melodic songs to full on rock. Although if you want to immediately hear a song that showcases how crazy good the lead singer Marko Saaresto's voice can be (and while his vocal range might not be the most dynamic out there he is an amazing example of what you can achieve by having absolutely perfect control of your vocals especially the raw emotion that his voice is able to convey) then i recommend listening to their song Daze. His vocals on the chorus are something out of this world. I just think that so many more people would love their music if they just ever heard them but since their from Finland it rarely happens. Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control (Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it) also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D

John Davis is an inspiration not only for his music, but he has survived through a life that if most people experienced a fraction of it would have departed long ago. He is proof that we have weak moments, but that's all they are... Moments. Therapy is not a bad word. This past October 3rd I celebrated 5 years clean and sober. It was also the 10 year anniversary of the day I swallowed a .40 caliber bullet, my depression won, but then I woke up 2 weeks later after being put in a medically induced coma. Lost, and still have no long term memory. Only reason I know any of it happened was a friend documented my changing, he just didn't know what to do. If he hadn't been watching, he wouldn't have been close by when I tried, if he wouldn't have kicked my door in, and lastly if not for him that day, I would have succeeded. I really like your channel, and your positive words. You are beautiful inside, and out.

Thank you for exploring this. Korn is one of my favorite bands and yes they have helped me get through some dark times in my life. I've seen them live several times and the energy they give is unreal. Music can be so therapeutic. I know this will sound horrible but one of the bands that helped me get by my darkest moments is a band called Suicidal Tendencies. If you wish to honestly explore a song examining a dark place I recommend Chris Cornell's "You Never Knew My Mind" which is a rendition of a Johnny Cash poem. It came out after Cornell's death. This song got me in a place where I thought I was unreachable. I was at low point in my life in 2002. This one reached me, took hold of me and told me that I'm not that alone. My HSP side is showing when I cannot pin point one particular line or word when this Bakersfield band, where I'm from, knew how I was and was ready to do something, I didn't know what to do then there's three songs on this particular CD that shook me up, to wake me up. I think that crack in my voice is gone now but my existence is not.

The video was conceived and directed by a fan who won a contest. The house is the one in American Horror Story.

Chicks NEVER follow though so don't take em seriously LOL. Honestly re_evaluate and diagnose the situation! Then get yourself into a fitness regime (LITERAL MEDICINE 4 body NO JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super awesome juice). THEN and only then will you feel a calm and OK'ish sensation wash over you 4 the first time in forever, That's when you realise that you are taking control of your life :) DON'T STOP!

I was working out almost every single day for months before my suicide attempt. While exercise can be a TOOL and can help, it doesn't cure someone of mental illness. And "chicks" very much follow through and are tragically successful at the rate of about 10,000 each year here in the US. Please don't spread misinformation.

I see a few requesting "Daddy"...enjoy Korn first before you traumatize yourself with the song Daddy. Daddy is the rawest emotions I have ever heard in a song and no one, I mean NO ONE ever forgets the first time they hear Daddy, and no one is EVER ready to hear Daddy. You will break down and you will need tissues. When you finally do listen to Daddy be ready to look up the true meaning behind the song, the lyrics can be misleading
