As far as Angelina goes, she is the most amazing vocalist that I've heard in my 77 years. I discovered her over 6 years ago & have listened to her music every day since then. She makes songs come alive more than anyone I know. I get goosebumps, I get teary eyed, I smile, I get stunned, and I am always craving more. I don't know how someone so young seems to emote the true meaning in songs and lyrics like she does. She really shines when she's _truly_ live. As in, she's got *one* chance to sing the song. Live in concert, or in live TV broadcasts. She really knows how to "level up" in those situations. (That's not to say she's not excellent in other situations, because she is. It's just that a lot of her truly live stuff is particularly impressive.) My recommendation for the next one you hear is one of those: "Feeling Good" live on _The Stream Gir Tilbake_ at age 10 (found on her Official channel). It was a charity-related live TV special.

Well, welcome to the AJ Rabbit Hole! You are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, 2023, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out some time this year. Angelina released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official KZbin channel on March 29th, 2024. Currently, she is working with 3 time Grammy winner songwriter/producer Toby Gad creating new original music for her to sing. Gad has co-wrote and produced such big hits like All Of Me by John Legend, Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie, If I Were A Boy by Beyonce, and Skyscraper by Demi Lovato and a number of others. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. When you said she brought the sun onto the room, I thought you needed to know how close you were to reality. Listen to this fact, although Angelina's parents aren't musicians, she was born with the entire pallet of music in her brain. There's a video of her at 18 months, hitting notes (dead center) which would appear to be impossible, yet for her is not. Began arranging the music a very early age, around 6 years old. A true prodigy. Anyway, you're about to be bombarded by her fans, just know this... when she was born, her mom decided to name her ANGELINA (an angel,) her first last name is JORDAN which in Hebrew means "To descend" and she has a second last name, which the family doesn't like to use, apparently trying to keep Angelina away from Mainstream, to allow her to have a normal childhood. Hi my friend, nice that you took a little look into Angelina's rabbit hole. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 with songs by Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and the song Summertime from the film Porky and Bess. On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. You will soon know a lot about Angelina Jordan. Yes, she brings you the sun when she sings. Best storyteller I have ever heard. She drives more emotion out of her covers than many of the original artist's. Her lyrics are "old soul" as well as her vocal talent. With about 200 covers and original songs not counting instagram--from entering and winning Norway's Got Talent at 7 to now 18 working with Toby Gad, signed with Republic at 14 with full artistic control, a Las Vegas performance at Westgate where Elvis performed regularly (they had her sign the famous wall there) her performances will never disappoint. I regret you have encountered illness as a companion but, you appear 'well seasoned' and will be familiar with this circumstance of human condition. Many others, including myself, can say that, like you, we have also discovered that which will do us in, assuming we don't run into something worse in the mean time, or it runs into us first. While we await the inevitable 'transition' we can still enjoy our journey by these means available to us here and you are making good use of them. Regarding Miss Jordan, she is young, now 18, but a long time professional and signed to Republic Records. She's Norwegian, born in Oslo, but of recent mixed ancestry from Sweden, Japan, and Iran, which might not usually be of that much importance except, in her case, it seems to be as the Iranian Gran is, herself, a world renowned paint and sculpture artist who does not share the usual 'traditional' beliefs of that culture and these have transferred to the progeny, specifically, her children, the Angelina mother and uncle, who also manage the child's 'career', which seems an inappropriate word to use with regard to the nascent interests of such a youngster but which have essentially evolved into becoming that, a career, as her performing development matures. The Iran Gran traveled to Japan for, I believe, college, and there married a Japanese. Her two children were born there and lived there for over ten years I have read. Either the Gran, Mom, or both are fans of American Jazz from the 40s, 50s, 60s and baby Angelina became exposed to this music as an infant and also learned to access it on the internet, gaining high insight and expertise at the impressionable single-digit ages.
