HARD band to beat. They were 19 when they came out with a song called "I Bet That You Look Good on the Dance Floor", which almost made an entire generation of musicians retire at age 30 (including me) because we kinda knew we weren't gonna be able to do it better than those kids. 😎

Arctic Monkeys was formed back in 2002. The part of “Do I Wanna Know?” that you said sounds familiar has been featured in a good chunk of televised media, which is probably where you’ve heard it from. It gets stuck in your head easily. Def keep listening if you wanna, they’re worth it.

I know this is late but- I like that this guy waits till the end to voice his opinion with the exception of a few small comments. Lots of reactors constantly pause and after a while it gets annoying, but I actually enjoyed this reaction.
@StiloReacts3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s why I like reacting to music audio more than visuals. It’s easier just to vibe and let the music shine and have an opinion that just accompanies it. I pause a lot sometimes, but I try to have some balance. Thanks for watching! :) happy new year to you
@birdtunnelparty3 жыл бұрын
The lead singer described the album as “It sounds like a Dr Dre beat, but we’ve given it an Ike Turner bowl-cut and sent it galloping across the desert on a Stratocaster” when it first came out. They were actually all into hip hop as kids until they heard the Strokes and then they wanted to form a band to be like them. So I would check out Someday by the Strokes to get an idea of their early inspiration.
@tick9993 жыл бұрын
I think they had something like the fastest selling No1 single in the UK since The Beatles for their first release. At gigs they gave away free CD's that some fans uploaded to Myspace. So they got popular with out all that marketing manufactured boy-band crap. Just music lovers sharing CDs, but through the internet / social media. They're the real deal. THE TRUTH 😎

Whats really good about them is how if you dont vibe with one album, their style isn't the same in any album really. My local band and so was lucky enough to see them several times in tiny venues before they made it big. They were looking for a place to rehearse in their early days and so applied in writing to request to practice in High Green Working Mans Club (basically a pub with live acts on stage several nights a week), anyway they were turned down and so have never played a gig in their home village.

YES! I love it when people find AM on their own and then also know how to appreciate it. I´d love to see you react to Knee Socks, Mardy Bum, and Crying Lightning. Arabella is also a freaking masterpiece. Fun fact: Miley Cyrus covered their song Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High. And I personally believe the opening lyrics of her hitsong Midnight Sky "Yeah, it's been a long night and the mirror's tellin' me to go home" were inspired by the opening lyrics of WYOCMWYH: "The mirror's image tells me it's home time".

Haha P Daddy was in love with them when they first came out...as teens. These songs are from AM, them letting everyone know they could be commercial if they wanted to. Great album, but we love their fast tempo first two albums, dont drive you'll get a speeding ticket fast. Alex Turner is the voice, the writer, bandleader. His voice...yes. His lyrics...witty, sensitive, intelligent. Too Much To Ask...killer break up song. Probably not your taste but...if you are breaking up, longing for a girl, theyve got the best songs. Try Star Treatment on their last LP. YOU either love it or...not. they are the biggest band in Europe for the last...hmmm, 13 years? His voice is butter. Drummer is a beast. They all just taught themselves to play at 15. 16 to be in a band because they wanted to. Childhood friends.

Arabella is my favourite song from this album, but there’s not an Arctic Monkeys song I don’t like. Try some of there older stuff too - From the Ritz to the Rubble, A Certain Romance, Do Me a Favour to name a few

Here comes every Arctic Monkey's fan. Yo, sample from all their albums, they all have differences in attitude. (These two tracks were from album titled AM) They got B-Sides stronger than their album work, too. From me, listen to "View from the Afternoon," "Leave Before the Lights Come On," and the 0"Baby I'm Yours" cover of Barbara Lewis.

...or to annoy every Arctic Monkey's fan, do "2013" and Title the album with magnum opus levels of greatness.

When touring they were supported by a cracking singer called Miles Kane. The lead singer of Arctic monkeys - Alex Turner - became really good friends with him and they started doing a bitta musical experimentation, they both went to the east of France and recorded a record under the name The Last Shadow Puppets and released their debut "The Age of the Understatement" in 2008 and made a second album - one of my favourite albums ever - "Everything You've Come To Expect". You should really give their second album a listen btw :)

Yeah, I feel like Do i wanna know is just super likeable by most people no matter what genre they prefer, just generally nice song to listen and vibe to but not really their best. I personally think 505 is waaaay better.
