You guys should give BTS a chance, don’t stereotype them as the typical poppy boyband etc. I’m a hardcore hip hop and rap fan and these guys do it better than most of the artist you react to if you give them the chance, they legit started as a hip hop group but they’re diverse, they are the biggest artist in the world right now for a reason. Props to the guy asking an honest question about the language, and props on props to the friend who didn't laugh, but answered thoughtfully. I'm hooked on this video alone, subscribed for more reactions. BTS is different. I discovered them during quarantine in 2020 and as someone more into hip hop and all types of music really, they checked all my boxes and then some. When you think you've got them pinned down they hit you with something else. They each have solo stuff where they pursue their own tastes, and the rappers especially can get much more raw and explicit than on the group stuff. J Hope (the one with the dancehall flow, in the shorts by the train), was just announced as a replacement for Doja Cat, headlining Lollapalooza this year. He has a mix tape and rumors that he has another one coming. He also has a few solos within the group's discography. He did a remix of the song CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP, and paid the original creator their dues. I like that they promote positivity, not just in their music and lyrics, but in the way they live and how the way they interact with eachother and their fans. They are a true brotherhood and it's rare to see these days. It makes it all the more sweet knowing what they have in their arsenal (they can throw shade and cut down their haters with a quickness, and aren't shy to confront stupidity). They aren't just the lovely, sweet, Disney-esque prettyboys you see (they mostly are), but there is something very authentic about their music and they themselves. Imma keep adding to this comment till KZbin cuts me off lol! Just noticed the BLM poster in the back. BTS donated $1 mil to BLM, and their fans (ARMY) matched within 24 hours.

Thanks for checking them out. BTS can’t just be categorized as just a pop group coz they are much more than that. They have a lot of songs since the very beginning and they are very diverse, from raw rap, pop, hiphop, ballad, rnb, edm, neosoul etc. If you decide more about them I suggest you watch introduction videos from XCeleste, Ida S and Taylor Nakamoto. There is also a video called The Most Beautiful Life Goes On:Story of BTS updated version which covers how the group was formed and a brief summary of their career growth. Their songs, lyrics, message and their personalities make people love them. There so many contents from BTS from Live performances, MV, behind the scenes videos, their trips and vacations, their chemistry, their variety show and many more. Another thing about them is they are not just a band or group, they are family. They are just so humble and down to earth despite being their success. If you like their recorded songs, you’ll like their live performances even more coz you’ll hear the passion from their voices and they dance to intense choreography at the same time. keep an open mind and you’ll discover some amazing music, BTS is very heavily rap influenced so there are probably a good number of songs you’ll like. Check out their 2021 Festa Room Live, its a medley of songs from their start through 2021 and gives a great overview of their diversity in genre, writing, rap and vocal talents. If interested in learning about them and why they are so loved and so huge, the intro video from rice squad is highly recommended, and to learn more about them as individuals, Taylor nakamotos video the BANGTAN 7 gives a wonderful overview.

They are SOOOO much more than this..... this song was written like a farewell to us...and asking us to wait for them to come back. (They have to serve 2 years in the Korean military...it's mandatory!) These guys are like Y'ALL... they give you HOPE that the world is good and kind and spread such a positive message! Actually 7 people is not a lot for Kpop groups. There are groups that have 13 and 23 members(the biggest so far). Most common amounts are 7 members, 5 members, 9 members etc.

Thank you for reacting, and for being respectful. I understand why you categorize BTS in the kpop genre, but there are a lot of BTS fans who do not listen to other kpop groups. So kpop fans do not necessarily listen to BTS and BTS fans ("ARMY") may not be a fan of kpop. I think it's best for people not to stereotype BTS OR the rest of the kpop industry. Both have more depth and musical diversity than people give them credit for, and there are also lots of armies and other kpop fans that understand that and appreciate both BTS and other kpop groups. K-pop has been more than just literal pop music for a long time now, thanks to BTS and other great Korean artists. So I think that BTS are simply the best of what k-pop has to offer, and that there is no shame in them being acknowledged as k-pop idols (as Bangtan themselves even say in their own song IDOL).

This is definitely a more sentimental song, I'm glad you guys likes it but they have WAY harder stuff. This one was their goodbye while they go on break. They are the WORLD'S GREATEST BAND for a reason. FYI.. there are 3 rappers and 4 vocals of BTS. They compose, write and produce most of their songs. BTS has a very diverse genre. I agree, don't stereotype and place them strictly in the kpop box. They do many genres, and their roots were originally in hip hop. Check out some of those songs. I highly recommend UGH, Ddaeng, all the Cyphers ( 1-4 ). As far as their solos, RM's Joke, AGUST D's Daechwita, Agust D, Tony Montana, Haegeum, and What Do You Think, and J-HOPE's Chicken Noodle Soup, Baseline, and his song with J Cole, On The Street. A few more as a group: Black Swan, ON, Blood Sweat and Tears. And I KNOW y'all will love Jungkook's solo stuff, especially Standing Next to You, which is a subtle tribute to Michael Jackson.

yo I went to a BTS concert in Osaka with my wife and mother in law. girls were going crazy. i have never seen such a huge crowd of girls just melt for a group. BTS got the swag though and the flow. BTS is DOPE in my book. pun intended

Since you kept asking who was singing which part - there are lyrics videos that highlight which member is singing. Those will help you start learning names and identifying each unique voice. I agree with other recommendations to check out older songs and the rap line to see what BTS are all about and how they've evolved over the years. Just as an FYI, this video and song contains a TON of symbolism tied to the storyline of the Bangtan Universe. You can still enjoy the song without knowing this narrative, but it supports the interpretation of "going to Heaven" in the sense that all the members are back together, safe, happy and moving forward together to their next chapter as a group and individual artists.
