Wow, I love that song. Maybe it hasn't aged well, but back in 70s that song crushed me for some reason. I love the melody... Someday Never Comes is a brutal one for me too.

Yeah, that song breaks your heart, if you have one. Lol

Why hasn't it aged well? Just enjoy it and stop caring about what other people think and being apologetic. The problem with that line of thinking is that it takes away from everything they put into it and makes people not be able to like what they like and that is worse😒

Probably my favourite CCR song, and I like a lot of them. Something about it...

"Bad Moon Rising", "Susie Q", "Hey Tonight", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Travelling Band", "Down On the Corner", "I Put A Spell On You", "Sweet Hitchhiker", and "Someday Never Comes", are awesome by CCR❤❤❤

Hi Richard, I know Down On The Corner and Have you ever seen the rain. My reaction to I Put A Spell On You will be out in the next couple of days. It was definitely more than “ok” ☺️😍🔥

And all the rest - which people seem to forget or ignore. I find the obscure tracks more interesting. Their hits became earwax to me after all those years. I grew up with CCR.

"Run Through the Jungle" and "Green River" are 2 classics that will have you dancing on the table. Yep, a lot of their songs were short, radio songs. Yet they endure. Love your reactions. Do more.

I've played in bands my whole life and big venues and small venues in a lot of Honky Tonks and that line about, if I only had a dollar for every time I've had to play while people set their drunk, you know I'd catch the next train back to where I'm from. I mean I love it when the audience gets buzzed and has a good time but at some point, this just rings so true.

Have a bootleg of CCR live at the Closing of the Fillmore West. John dedicates this song to "All the places bands are going to go back to now that the Fillmore is closing "...

*INSTANT SUBSCRIBED* First, you have a beautiful smile.... ok...... onto the song..... As a former touring musician I can *TRULY RELATE* to the paradox of just wanting to play but starving & hustling at the same time.! Lodi is a central California town, STILL kinda in the middle of nowhere. Imagine 50+ years ago.! It's basically an ode to touring, young musicians struggling to make it and most never do, lyrically expressed specifically for THAT time period...... I have sooooooo many I can turn you onto. Just pick a gendre or style and test the waters..... if you don't read your comments, no worries.! I enjoyed this....... *David* .....

You can't go wrong with CCR. Just great song after great song. In my opinion, the best rock 'n' roll band to come out of the U.S.A.

I see that you talk about songs that touch your soul. The singer who touches my soul the most is Kelly Clarkson. I would recommend checking out Because of you, Meaning of life (Nashville sessions version) and I will always love you from the ACM awards. I think you would really enjoy her.

Please react to CCR’s song, “Suzy Q”.. Also please react to Fleetwood Mac’s (Peter Green era) “Rattlesnake Shake”. Maybe the 3 and half minute or 7 minute version, although there’s a great 25 minute version😂..

"It was okay" Fair. CCR is very Americana, and when they dig into the deeper side it can get a little depressing at times. Not every song can be a winner 😅 Try their 1970 album Cosmo's Factory. It's got a great mix of vibes showing off the band's versatility, and a lot of fantastic songs - particularly Run Through The Jungle. Trying a whole album at once might be an interesting change of pace.
@inbedwithmusic21302 жыл бұрын
Thanks Patrick. I’ve heard three songs from that album (possibly a fourth that sounds familiar by name), including Run Through The Jungle, which I’m sure was in a movie 🤔 A whole album at once is an interesting idea…. I’ll keep it in mind. Next song out will be another CCR ☺️
