This song belongs to the “double entendres novelty song” tradition that has also included Aerosmith’s “Big Ten Inch Record,” Chuck Berry’s “My Ding-a-Ling,” and one of the most classic novelty songs, Benny Bell’s “Shaving Cream.” One ironic thing about double entendre songs is that the most novelty song artist, Weird Al Yankovic, actually does NOT generally do (sexual) double entendre songs. Weird Al is more about keeping his lyrics clean.

@bettyrose9593 ай бұрын
Not exactly what they said. They all knew each other before that even happened. They're all from the same music scene. He was in Blind Illusion. so much so, their guitarist is Kirk Hammett's guitar tech. When he left to join Metal Church. Larry LaLonde left Possessed and took his place in Blind Illusion with Les Claypool on base. Incase you didn't know, Blind Illusion is an American progressive thrash metal band. Les was a founding member. He left because metal wasn't his thing. although he did come back off and on over the years. Les and Kirk went to the same high school. They said he had his own thing going with Primus. Which he was playing with off and on with various line ups over those same years. All that other stuff is just stories, possibly an inside joke. He didn't even know the songs or that Metallica was that big. He had just started playing with Larry. Put out a Blind Illusion and six Primus albums over the next 6 years. They didn't need each other at the time, and Les would have never fit what they had going anyway. Think it was more Kirk's thinking than his. He's not a metal guy.

Just 'cuz why not: According to Les Claypool, Wynona is an actual, literal beaver that nearly capsized a friend of his when they were out kayaking. It goes back a bit further than that. According to a Kurt Vonnegut book I read over 20 years ago, not that I recall which one, the term "beaver" came from sports photographers who took pictures from underneath bleachers. They'd shout out "beaver" to let the other photographers know that there was a chick without underwear in the stands, using the seemingly random word so the people in the bleachers didn't know what was going on.
