Fun Fact: The beat and hook for Jump Around was originally made for Cypress Hill and they turned it down. House of Pain blew up off it. They used to rock heavy with Ice Cube but them and Cube fell out for awhile. It got ugly. But it’s cool now.

It was 4 entities, in the early 90’s, that REALLY influenced how HipHop began to SOUND & that’s: - #CypressHill • with those LARGE screeching sounds (which they got from Public Enemy. No one did that before Public Enemy did) - #DasEFX • with that DIFFERENT way/style of rapping that NO ONE had heard or done before. (That “sniggity snoop” stuff? Snoop actually got that from DasEFX) - #TribeCalledQuest • there were others, like #Stetsasonic & #GangStarr, who incorporated JAZZ into HipHop, but NO ONE had done it to the degree that Tribe began to do in the early 90’s. - #Nas • when Nas first started out, MANY people thought he sounded like & was trying to imitate/sound like #Rakim, but #NastyNas brought a DIFFERENT style & SOUND of rapping that would HEAVILY influence the 90’s rappers like #KoolGRap #BigPun #GhostFace/#GhostFaceKilla #Raekwon/#RaekwonTheChef & MANY others
