I've been a Dan fan for 8 months and this song never came up... Not on KZbin... Not on my Alexa app which is absolutely crazy bc if I'm not listening to Dan I'm listening to Christian music BUT today was the day I needed it and I believe the Lord Almighty saved it for me til today... This and one other song of Dan's that I hadn't heard b4, YOU ARE LOVED, DONT GIVE UP. 8 months and not once were either of these songs played but after working over 22 hrs in the last like 30 hrs... It was necessary. 1st was YOU ARE LOVED DONT GIVE UP which was like sooo beautiful and talking of the weight we sometimes feel. I was shocked bc Alexa usually plays me one of the witcher songs or make a man out of you but this time... This time was so different. After YOU ARE LOVED DONT GIVE UP came on this one did next and by the time Dan sang the verse God Almighty I had tears streaming down my face... Pour your mercy down on me 😭😭😭💖💖💖🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you Jesus❤ life gets heavy but i felt seen by the Lord today and i will praise his holy name! Thank you Jesus ❤❤❤❤

I recently discovered Dan Vasc and this song more recently. He stayed more true to Roy Khan's original version for this & I think I like Dan's version better (no surprise there). I love both this cover & Dan's msg at the end. The guitarist, Gabriel, is a member of Dan's band called -- Fearless. They have their music on KZbin & the album, called Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom, incorporates elements of metal & fantasy melded with Biblical events. Tale With No End is one of my favorites songs on it & you can tell by the lyrics that it mirrors aspects of the Old Testament account of Elijah & Elisha, Ahab & Jezabel. Behold My Land & Jericho are other good songs.

When I found Dan's music on 9/15/20, I was going through a dark time in my life, and my faith had been put on the backburner. This song reawakened it. Thank you for reacting to it, and thank you for playing the entire outro. On the songs that have them, we get little glimpses of Dan and his personality. Keep the reactions coming!

@@gametchanger Could you tell me more about the “war” that is mentioned in the song?” Your comments toward the end were interesting, because I used to get angry at the mention of the Big G. In my mind He was associated with the atrocities that have been committed throughout history by those who thought they were doing His work. I find my attitude has changed since listening to you and Dan.

​@@auntietheticalhello, the war has to do with the fact that we're the ones, as sinful sinners, rebellious against God. With all the sacrifices (animal/possessions) that you can find out through the Old testament, nobody could come close to be reconciled back to God as it should be. That's why Jesus Christ had to come as a man and lay his life down for all of us. We belong to God Almighty and not to this world ❤️🙏

In the Old testament, you can read on how the different generations worshipped false gods, lying tongues, hands that shed innocent blood, hearts that devised wicked schemes, feet that were quick to rush into evil, among a few examples there are detestable to God. We pretty much are in "war" against God, every time that we practice these sinful acts.

I'm catholic and i get hate a lot for the sins of others and sometimes it's hard to stand and not be hurt. I'm the only person in my entire family who has a belief system so I'm alone without an outlet i guess you can say. I've made it through my mom, bio dad, gram and husband all dying before 60 and I'm only 54. I have felt like I'm being punished at times and i tell myself God doesn't give you more than you can handle yet i feel like I'm breaking. Just needed to vent, this seemed like a good place to do it. Dan always makes me smile.

Just went through several of your older reactions, and left comments. One of them was David Phelps with "Nessun Dorma." I'm hoping you will react to Dan Vasc's version, also. The other one I'd love for you to react to (of Dan's) would be "Son of Pain" (a Rhapsody of Fire" cover). It puts me in mind of Jabez, in 1 Chronicles, even though I don't believe the song was written about that scripture. It hits the mark, though, and Dan does a SPECTACULAR job of singing it...WOW!

Two more songs of Dan's I think you would love (both from Elvis). You should begin with "An American Trilogy," which Dan sang when his father passed away, from cancer, in 2017...very emotional, and very beautiful. The other is, "Love Me Tender," which came OUT of his singing the trilogy. He tells about why he's going to sing it first, then goes into the song...beautifully sung, for a very special cause.

I feel the same about listening to Dan sing about the Lord. A warning, though...there will be ones you find that you may not want to react with, down in that rabbit hole. I listen very carefully to all the words, and look for the "hidden meanings" in the words. Most of the ones I really like are the ones that talk about VICTORY...over evil...in one form or another. There are a few that don't carry that message (not too many). They're still GREAT, musically, but...they're not my favorites. Most of them are his older ones. I, too, LOVE his comments on the end of this one. Love your comments as well, in that regard. 😀 On my channel (which is my newer channel--my older one is Grandma's Gone Gaming, which I've had for eight years, now--I kept trying to ignore Holy Spirit about doing this Grandma's Got Grace channel, because I wasn't sure how it would work out if I didn't want to be on camera) about a month ago, I published a video called, "04/24/2023-Our Triune God's Love For Us (Written 06/30/2021). It is EXACTLY about the subject you and Dan have both presented, here. It's only five minutes long, if you want to check it out. Thank you very much for this reaction!
