Love his music, my husband was never really into country before he married me 10yrs ago so he likes it now,his favorite one by him is called..Wagon Wheel.. you need need to check that one out, lord knows if I'm 60 and he's 71 and has never listened to nothing but classic Rock and now I've got him listening to more country than he'd ever thought and liked to,I kinda find it funny 😁 but it's a great song, Thanks for your reaction hope you and your family have a blessed evening ❤️ 🙏

For some reason I think Darius rucker getting into country music is one of the coolest stories and it's so simple. The guy was already pretty famous he was the lead singer from the rock group Hootie & The Blowfish. Then we didn't hear from him for a few years as he started a family. Then he suddenly came out with a country song and the story behind it is that he and his 2 daughters were just driving down the road one day singing to the radio. And his youngest daughter turned to him and said dad if you're gonna make music again you should sing country instead of rock your voice is much better for that. And here we are.

I've enjoyed Darius throughout his career. A good country song just sings your life, whether it is about a heartbreak, a party or a family person. I guess that is the difference between this genre and others. Some country artists are still approachable, but I think due to just weird people most have a protective shield around them anymore. I remember as a young child, you could approach most of the stars then and they would treat you like a friend, for their safety they just can't do that anymore.

He is awesome. You need to check him out in his first 'non country' band, 'Hootie & the Blowfish'. Two of my favorite hits from them is 'Let her cry' & 'Only wanna be with you'. I am still thrilled he went country. His voice is so soothing. Like butter.

I think this was Darius’ first country release when he started his solo career after Hootie and the Blowfish. I remember being so excited because I always loved his voice with Hootie and was stoked that he was singing country.

CMT’s Tribute to Loretta Lynn…Darius broke my heart. He was so emotional, he could barely sing. Only time I’ve ever witnessed his vocals not on point.
