DIMASH stated on TV that he and Igor had the same vision on music and complemented each other; this performance happened because DIMASH asked Igor for a AVE Maria for him to perform and this is What Igor created and when DIMASH got it, he said it was exactly what he had in mind. Two great musical minds working in sync.

The beginning of the piece seems to be an imitation of the sounds from Outer Space that were recorded by NASA, establishing an otherworldly atmosphere. Dimash uses only vocalization to make this a prayer/meditation for all people, regardless of their spiritual orientation. Words often divide us, but music has the power to unite. The purity of Dimash's voice, the genius of Igor's composition, the choir, instrumentation, and staging all combine to transport the listener beyond this earthly existence into the heavenly worlds. The messa di voce on High C at the end is absolutely exquisite. Russian figure skater Anna Shcherbakova used Ave Maria for her performance at the European Figure Skating Championships on January 16, 2022. Dimash once said that the sport he feels is most closely related to music is figure skating. Watching her perform while listening to Dimash singing Ave Maria takes your breath away. Go check it out.

Dimash asked Igor Krutoy (the man on the piano ) to compose an Ave Maria for him and Igor got right on it and sent it right back to him and Dimash said it's just what he wanted.

I'm sure you've seen by now how others have spoken of Dimash coming to Igor, asking him to compose this, and I would love to add here that he specifically asked Igor for Igor's version to be VOCALIZE, or "no words." This was an impossibly PERFECT choice for Dimash--by eliminating lyrics which can become misinterpreted betweens all the various languages, it becomes UNIVERSAL...a prayer of pure unconditional Love to be sung by anyone, for anyone, for any reason. There are 9 different versions of "Ave Maria" out there, most by very famous composers (Schubert, Bach, Verdi, etc.), and now Igor has chosen to take the 3 main notes as a launching point for his own. This performance pulls the listener--make that EXPERIENCER--up from our 3rd Dimension into the 4th, where our dreams and meditations lie. It is where I want to remain, just letting its angelic gorgeousness continually wash over me. And because of this, I have begun a promise to myself to watch it at least once a day for the rest of my life. And finally, as many have noted, Dimash doesn't merely sing a song...or even perform a song. He INHABITS a song. Even his mother Svetlana has remarked how sometimes she can barely recognize her own son, as he truly lives each note. And out of the thousands of performances I have seen him do now, I have never, ever, witnessed him going SO deep, or for so long as he does here. Watch how he takes the longest time I've ever seen him take in getting settled at the very beginning.........and it continues until almost 20 seconds after the last note is sung, when he has still not really "come out of it." You can see it in his eyes. Thank you for another absolutely beautiful, genuine, heartfelt reaction to Dimash--I was especially looking forward to see what you would have to say about this one, and I must say I was not disappointed!

Hello, a heavenly work by Dimash, composed by the master Igor Krutor (the pianist). Dimash does not need words to express so many feelings. Thanks for another great reaction. Russian composer, Igor Krutoy (who’s also playing the piano) wrote this song specially for Dimash at his request. Together, the two of them have created many beautiful new songs. Igor writes specially to cater to Dimash’s exceptional range, ability and technique. Igor had already retired but he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. In a Russian TV interview, Igor said his mother had told him he needs to write songs for younger singers. But he replied that there aren’t any younger singers who can sing his songs. That’s why he decided to retire... and then he met Dimash. And the rest as they say, is history.

Dimash appeared to struggle quite a bit to 'come down to earth' after this performance. Igor noticed and he guided Dimash off stage and then shoved away the hands of the many people who wanted to touch Dimash. His team, most notably Maks and Olzhas, rushed onstage to collect the flood of flowers! Thank you for this reaction; I have heard this song probably a hundred times by now and is still in awe every time!!

There’s a song he sings at every concert called If I Never Breath Again. We all like to think he’s singing to his Dears with this one. It’s not big notes but just a sweet song for the Dears. Hope u don't mind me given a bit of guidance re pronunciation - it's in regard of Ave - pronounce it - Avay. The origins way bck in 16th or 17th century I heard, is that this is a meditative piece, hence no lyrics. Makes sense to me, but I haven't verified it in any way but it feels right. Cheers.
