Big loves n thanks with or without the tears.. Its great to watch your reactions.. Our Dearest Dimash has been singing his huge heart out since birth.. The operatic training and swimming regularly underwater have given him lungs to his toes.. Being able to do what he does is mind blowing.. I have attended 2 Dimash concerts.. My first in London 2018 touched my soul n put hope in my heart.. His mother Svetlana was seated where I could see her throughout the 2 plus hour concert.. Svetlana shone with love, respect n pride.. I felt her passion.. It filled the arena.. I was so close to the stage n could see the pores of his skin.. It was his performance of Autumn Strong that blew my mind.. The vocalising that he started with took my breath away.. I was loved up for weeks.. I have attended many festivals n concerts but have never been more in awe than I was at my first Dimash concert.. For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. The "ov" is only added to his surname when he is in Russia. It is a Russian thing. Also, Russians do not give standing ovations but instead give flowers. The bald man on the front row, white shirt who did stand is Maestro Igor Krutoy. This was his first time hearing Dimash and he was moved. Later, he approached Kanat Ayetbayeva (father of Dimash) and Dimash offering his help with Dimash. It was the best thing to happen to Dimash. Igor is a composer, singer, and had been retired for 25 years when he attended this concert. He had made his fortune being worth about 13 Billion at that time. Kanat and Dimash excitedly accepted, and the rest is history. If you see him playing the piano for Dimash, that means he composed the music, arranged it and from time to time, wrote the words. Of course, Dimash always has a hand in arranging everything he performs. His masters degree is in composing and arranging so he is not a slackerd in that area. They have a great relationship and he has written some great masterpieces just for Dimash.

The subtitles for this video were a bit awkward, long and twisted up, and inaccurate in some places. (e.g. he doesn`t say "let me", he asks 'her' to "give me") The guy in white shirt giving Dimash a standing ovation at the end, front row, is Igor Krutoy, world-class composer who worked with Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian etc, and who contacted Dimash a few months after this performance and they started working together :) He composed "Stranger", "Olimpico", re-imagined "Ave Maria" for Dimash. "Sinful Passion" is an older hit of the kazakh band A`Studio (playing on the stage behing Dimash). He covered their song for this event, and he added the vocalize in the middle (after the soprano bit) as a mourning vocalization, in honor of the lead singer of the band who had passed away 3 years prior (age 52, of a heart attack). Thank, Kim. We would be lying if we said we weren’t holding back just a little bit. Most people are not bad, or kind even. But we have been getting a decent amount of really nasty comments from Dears. We get the occasional ones from every type of crowd, but it seems to be a lot more, and so much more mean, from Dimash fans. It does make it more difficult to react to, or even want to react. Everybody goes back to watch that last -but one - section, where he goes FOREVER! And times it! But it's not just the timing of course but where he goes with it - which is up and down and inside out! But so many incredible sections within the one song. The traditional vocalisation he did - after the soprano section- is a Kazakh cultural piece, he inserted as a mark of respect for the original singer of this A-Studio band. As for all the flowers he get showered with wherever he goes, he does ask people if they want to give something, to donate to various charities he supports, and he gives the flowers he does receive to children's hospitals and aged care facilities, where ever he happens to be touring.

The part within the song was also in The Story Of One Sky, if I am not mistaken it was placed in this song as a memorial to the original singer of the song that had passed away. At least the one on Spotify is good, thank God. Subs and listening to Dimash 🤔. I've mostly given up now and turned off the subs just to focus on the music instead coz my brain gets too crowded otherwise 😅. I occasionally read what the song means then just go with it. Dimash is the first singer that managed to make me cry without even knowing what the song means 😅. Dimash seems to be upgrading his abilities as he goes. Notice his bass register on "SOS" back in 2018, Slavic Bazaar and compare it to 2021 digital version of "SOS"...way deeper bass. I've also read that he likes to swim when he can to strengthen his lungs and learn to hold his breath for a longer time. Great reaction guys!

Hi guys, just found you tonight and I'm binge watching your Dimash reaction videos! Yes! Thank you for remarking on that long single breath while doing vocal acrobatics!!!❤ I have a notoriously small lung capacity and often need to take sneak breaths on long notes, so this is one aspect of Dimash that truly floors me every time. Some commenters say, oh, opera singers are trained to hold long notes, piece of cake. Well? I was classically trained too, but if you have a small heart snd lungs, there’s not much you can do about it…

Wow, you found the version without the glitch! Lol. And the end screen where you paused it on, the bald man, that's Igor Krutoy! He started New Wave, and this is the year he came out of retirement. Many people say it's from this performance. Igor has written and rewritten songs for Dimash, Love is Like a Dream is the latter. Which i thought would have been another Valentine's Day type song to listen to.

You will find that there really is no “typical” Dimash song and he has a few songs where his extraordinary breath control is on display - holding notes for 20 seconds or more. If you want to hear him sound like an electric guitar at the end try Across Endless Dimensions. There are a few versions and each one of them is great. The original is from a movie soundtrack so there is an official MV but he sings it live at Slavic Bazaar and live in his studio with some great special effects.

There is another versatile artist that you might enjoy that comes as close to Dimash as anyone else has. That is a Chinese singer, Hua Chenyu; he is more the rock rap type but mixes a variety of genres into one song as well! Start with Nunchucks, Jackdaw Boy, Great Sage Equal to Heaven and Seven Personalities. I think you will find him very unique and entertaining like Dimash. While Dimash fans are called “dears,” Hua Hua’s fans are called “martians.”
