If you like harmony, you could try 'Sloop John B' by the Beach Boys, from the album 'Pet Sounds' (absolutely their best album). The song is a cover, but you won't hear harmonies like it very often.

Many years later, they finally recorded a pair of albums under the name Trio. This is from Dolly Parton's TV show. Emmylou Harris is a solo artist who is practically better known for harmonizing perfectly with nearly anyone. Linda Ronstadt's career was cut short by an illness that robbed her voice. She is one of the most awarded singers of all time and is in multiple halls of fame. She also has a significant Spanish language career. She is responsible for the creation of the Eagles, as she hired Glen Frey to put together a touring band. He hired 4 guys, three of which formed Eagles with him. She mainly does cover songs and made a few then unknown singer songwriters rich aa she has a lot of platinum albums.

Linda is outstanding in every genre she ever tried. I mean everything. Including opera. Unfortunately she can't ever perform again. She has an incurable neurological disease very similar to Parkinson's. I forgot the name can someone remind me? I fell in love with her when I was in high school. That love has never faded. The only time I saw her live was on Broadway in The Pirates of Penzance. Absolutely incredible.

Linda Ronstadt sang everything from Mexican folk songs, rock, country, classic standards to opera. She ruled the charts at one time. One of the songs from her Spanish album honoring her father and his heritage is “La Charreada” and shows her amazingly powerful voice. She is on the right and Emmylou is in the middle.

Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris had spectacular careers. Linda Ronstadt sang Mexican music she’s half Mexican she could sing rancheros salsa, light, opera, opera, and American standards plus country and country rock. She was the most versatile accomplished singer out there. Take a listen to some of her stuff she even had a couple of R&B hits.

This clip is from Dolly's variety show in the mid-70s. They had sung on each others' albums since meeting around 1974. Linda met Emmylou when she was touring with Neil Young as a opening act, later Emmylou introduced Dolly and Linda. All three bonded over the love of music. When Linda went on her solo tour she brought Emmylou along after the death of Gram Parsons for several shows. Due to various obligations it wasn't until 1987 that they were able to release Trio.

Then Listen to her sing some serious rock, HEAT WAVE, then listen to her sing LA CHARRADA, in Spanish as a tribute to her Mexican father. Then find her on KZbin, singing opera in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, & listen to her sing WHAT’S NEW from the Great American songbook, with The Nelson Riddle Orchestra, an extraordinary composer & band leader from the 40’s. He came out of retirement to work with one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

All three ladies are amazing vocalists. But Linda Ronstadt is the only one who inhabits my music library. Just a little bit of a thing, but when she did solo tours, she had it all. Bawdy ballads, gentle love songs, and everything in between. I’m sure I went to more than 100 concerts in the mid-1960s to 1990s. Linda’s concert in Cincinnati was one of my top 5 concerts of all time.

**Everyone** wants EmmyLou to harmonize with them, believe me. I think you would enjoy seeing Nanci Griffith. It's hard to pick; I want to suggest "Love at the Five and Dime" (Live on the TV show Austin City Limits), but it's mostly just her on guitar. I think you might enjoy watching the other musicians more, on "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness" (written by John Prine). Choose a live version at the channel "It'sWaldo", but pick the one with her in front of the mic. The other is the Studio version. Nanci and Emmylou were friends and performed together. She also sang with Dolly. And others.
