Shows you how starved a section of young women were for any kind of real sensuality in that era. Elvis allowed us to express ourselves in a way we hadn't before. He took R&B and turned it into something that was able to break through the barrier. In the 70's he didn't have the same critics to fight. He was already accepted by the world. God all Mighty! Everything about him! He had so much soul. This was recorded (The 68 Comeback Special) shortly after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & Robert Kennedy both were assassinated. He closed the show with If I can dream. He desperately wanted our hurting Nation to come together in one of the darkest times in modern History. I strongly suggest that you watch that performance. Everytime I see it, I'm moved to tears. I also suggest that do a remake of One Night With You. You sounded great!

After seeing how awesome he is in so many different genres, he's definitely the GOAT when you talk about pure pop singers. The looks, sex appeal, swag, charisma, guitar playing, etc., it's all icing on the cake compared to that voice.
