I think what makes Eminem such an amazing artist is that he actually speaks from the heart. If you are a parent you know how it feels to not be able to put presents under the tree. Those of us who have lived in poverty can relate. Most rappers are talking about females, sex, gang banging, etc.but Em talks about his family, his struggles things we can relate to. One of his bullies tried to sue him because Em talked about what he did to him in a song, but it was thrown out of court because truth isn't slander. My favorite thing about him is that he took so many of his people from Detroit with him, just like he promised he would.

Eminem is one artist which I just can’t stop listening to. His songs have meaning to it. It melts my heart every time I listen to mockingbird. This song just is so touching. Can’t imagine how much love haliee is getting. She’s a lucky girl, that’s for sure. I miss the time rappers used to actually write lyrics about their life, their hardships etc. lots of love.

I bawl my eyes out every time I hear this song. My dad used to play Eminem in the car ever since I was old enough to understand music. I didn't know how innapropriate the songs were, I just liked the way they sounded. He always told me this was his song to me, and when I was little I thought it was just because he was saying he loved me like Em loves Hailie. But now as an adult, with everything that happened with him and my mom, all the addiction problems, the money problems, the mental health issues, NOW I know why he said this song was his song to me. It hits way too close to home, and it helped me repair my relationship with my father because I finally understood what he was trying to tell me for so long that he didn't have the words for. That right there is why Eminem will forever be the GOAT in my mind, not all his songs, but some of his songs, are so universally understood and emotional and powerful and that's something I can only truly say about maybe 5 other rappers TOPS.

This song gets to me every time 🥹 Em never hid his pain, he put it all out there for the world to see. Songs like this are what turned fans to stans - we knew he understood our struggles & he gave us a first hand look at what that was like. This is why Em has the most cemented fan base in a generation. It’s also why fans still protect Hailie Jade at all costs 🫶🏼

Both Kim and Marshall suffered drinking and drug problems throughout their lives. Kim had once cut off her ankle bracelet and was on the run, so yes, she was on the news quite a bit. Marshall was HEAVILY addicted to strong prescription drugs. In 2007, he had a methadone overdose, then tore the meniscus in his knee, then had a seizure. He got back on those drugs within a month and had had enough. He went to rehabilitation and Elton John was there to help him through such a rough time. He has been sober since 2008. =)

You guys are learning now how sick his beats (thanks Dre!), flows, and lyrics are. This is the PERFECT song for every father out there who busts his hump making sure that his kids have everything that he had to go without. Knowing that providing safety, a home, food on the table, lights over the head, heat at night, clothes on the back, and the best opportunities in life for your children are the reasons you get up, go to work (sometimes 2/3 jobs at a time), come home and just hold onto your kids as much as possible. Because those "moments" you might have missed trying to provide will never be captured again, but as long as your kids know you did everything you could for them? Then it was worth it.

I think the biggest reason this song hits me so hard is because people are living this. Now. Tomorrow. Forever. It’s so sad that people have to struggle with poverty and addiction and most of them don’t get to have Eminem’s success story. They want what’s best for their baby but life won’t let them give the best for their baby.

I tear up listening to this. His words to that song was so pure. We all miss the humor slim shady. But once things got serious & what his daughter was exposed to at a young age, his maturity kicked him so hard. I feel his pain. That’s why he’s so nonchalant now. Ofc there’s nothing wrong with Eminem, but mentally it really messed him up. He took life serious & made sure his daughter and kids will grow up as well grounded young woman. Respect to Eminem for devoting his life to his kids and no matter how old them girls are, he’s always going to be a father .

Great reaction guys!! I think the somg “Mockingbird” is a very-personal song in which Em is addressing his daughters and in the process reveals private details of their family history as well as his current thoughts and aspirations towards them. You guys should try “Hailie’s song” by him. It is a deep song as well talking about personal life. Also eminem actually tries to SING at first. Peace and love

Welp, I am a year late but holy cow. Atticus is one of the greatest heroes, defending a father doing what any father would say they would do! To take the life of the person that hurt your child, every parent who is honest can relate. Read it, damn good book!

You can see that song all of them felt it the story but the guy in red look how zoned in he is to it all the way through. Even after it ends he looks emotional like its repeating certain parts of the song in his head like the prison, the presents kim bought and put them under the tree and said some were from Hailey's daddy as he couldn't afford them. Crying all night. I felt that pain too infact I feel it everytime I listen. Its 1 of his best songs ever as its straight from the heart and soul. Had it on my playlist and cd a long time and it never gets old not for me. Great video guys enjoyed it and your reactions. I could see you all felt his pain.
