Eminem adopted Kim’s twin Sisters Daughter (Alaina) due to her Parents being heroin addicts. Alaina spent a lot of time at their place playing with Hallie before the adoption so Em was more than happy for that. Em also adopted a baby named Whitney which Kim had with someone else during their break up - so Em raised those three girls whilst also doing and being as huge as he was. Just one other reason to love him for who he is as a person and not just a rapper. Edit: also forgot to mention Em also adopted his younger brother Nate once he was able to save Nate from not only their Mother but also the foster care system - I swear Em knows no bounds!

Only mistake I feel like y’all made, is that y’all should have started reacting to En’s nusic in chronological order. Starting from his first major album, second, third and so on so y’all could have followed his story cuz that’s what sets him apart. He never ever rapped about jewelery, material things etc His subject matter is mostly his personal life the most intimate details, and and some of it is him spitting shock value shit, spitting lyrics that people think in their heads but would not say out loud, well Em was rapping those thoughts out loud Lol. I’m telling y’all, start from Slim Shady LP album, react to that. Then Marshal Mafhers LP, Then Eminem Show, Then Relapse, Then Marshall Mathers LP 2, Then Revival, Kamikaze, and finally MTBMB his last album. In between, y’all could do random features and freestyles. I think that’s the best way to go at tactically.

The thing with this song is that it came out right around the time the "Like Toy Soldiers" story was going on. Whenever I hear this song it makes me think Em was writing it to Haley because he felt there was a good chance the violence could have ended his life at any moment and he wanted something for her to let her know he's watching over her. That chorus just gives me chills every time I think about the fact that there's a good chance he wrote this because he knew there was a good chance he would be killed around that time.
@rocker9666272 жыл бұрын
Pretty much spot on, that’s exactly why this song came out. He knew there was a very real chance he could get shot and potentially die during that time. Look at some of his music around this time for example, like Mockingbird and Toy Soldiers like you said. He was really in some shit back then and clearly did a lot of reflecting on life and rapped about some of it. Of course it eventually did hit home after Proof was sadly shot and killed. Easily could of been Em at some random point as well. Crazy times
@rachelmontoro8296 Жыл бұрын
I always thought this song was a goodbye to his Slim Shady persona. Shady did all the crazy shit and Eminem was putting that behind him. Thats why he has brown hair infront of the mirror but his reflection had the blonde. He was killing off that part of himself

While I like this track, have to be honest and say that "Mockingbird" is miles ahead of this one. Mostly because when I hear Mockingbird, I can also feel the same remorse of "missed moments" due to having to constantly work 2 jobs to help support my own unexpected child at an early age. And yes, things did vastly improve by the time my second child was born and I was able to be around more often.... Well, as a father, I still feel like I missed out on a lot of things as my 1st born did thinks like take his first steps, learned how to walk and talk and started to play with other kids at daycare. I missed those "moments" and I know that I can never get them back. But, on the other hand, knowing I DID miss those moments, made me want to get deeply invested in both my children's lives as they got older. Can't tell you how much it means to your child to simply do something like keeping score at their little league baseball games, or when my daughter got really into dolls and wanted to have a dollhouse how we would go over to my older brother's house and work in his garage putting one together out of scrap pieces of wood he would bring home from his construction company. Just small things like that can really impact a child in countless ways and visually shows them how much you really are a part of their lives. BTW.... Now that my little girl (who isn't that little seeing how she is 24 now) is expecting her first child, and yet that hand-made dollhouse we made together is sitting in the garage right now waiting on her to come pick it up to give to her child when she is born.

Hailie is his only biological daughter. He's got another 2 daughters, but one of them is Kim's sister's daughter which Em adopted because Kim's sister also had drug problems(and I'm pretty sure she died a few years ago because of an overdose) and Em just wanted to give her a better life. The other daughter is Kim's daughter, but the father is not Em, he's some tattoo artist(I think) which Kim had an affair with while her and Em were married and Em got custody of her as well. So that's why he only refers to Hailie in his songs.

You're spreading bullshit. Try doing research before making statements about other people. It wasn't an affair. It was when they were split up.

@@Ge0rge_0rwell Aight man. No need for getting like that. I said I wasn't sure. Maybe it's that way. Thanks for the comment and for filling up the hole anyway 👍

"Throughout his career, Eminem has claimed he once had a relationship with Carey, dating her for six months. Carey, however, always denied the claim. As a result, Eminem recorded a number of songs in which he rapped about the singer in a negative light, angered by her not admitting to seeing him." -google btw The warning - Eminem
