This was the song chosen by my wife for our wedding in 1991. It’s burned in to my memory. The happiest day of my life. I am now a widower and miss her everyday. When I hear it I think of her. I’d give anything, so would our children. To have one more day with her. One more hour. One more minute even. Just thankful and cursed. That night I was holding her hand the night she slipped away from us. Leaving a void that can never be filled.

“Mr. Big”- "To Be With You”. Is another song, much like this one. Unplugged, with just an acoustic. So many memories with “Extreme”. Very diverse band. Awesome reaction Re.🌹🎸🎸

Extreme were a funk rock band of litteraly extreme talent. Most are shocked when they find they were not a ballad heavy band. Because this is so great. Nuno is one of the best gitarists I've heard. And their vocals where right on the money. A true talented gitarist like Stevey Ray, Prince, Jimmy, Eddie, Dimebag, Gary Moore and all those greats.

As soft and mellow this song is, the singer was tapped to be lead singer in the third iteration of Van Halen, after David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar departed. Many V.H. fans were surprised by that choice.

For contrast, you should check out one of their full-on rock songs. I would suggest “Get the Funk Out” from the same album as this song (1990), or “Rise” from their latest 2023 album. Very talented group all around.

If you liked the message of this song, you would probably also like, "When You Say Nothing At All". I recommend the version by Alison Krause.

Sorry Re, I typed a comment before you finished. Almost missed your ending. It’s Baffling to me Re, how so many in my country, “U.S.” are choosing hate, over love. Dis Respect- over Respect. Here you are, a younger Woman, in another Country, with wisdom beyond her years. You are going to inspire, and change lives. If we had just 5-10 people like you here, well world hunger would just not exist!! lol!

Another harmonizing brother's Pop/Rock/Hair Metal had a few hits is "Nelson "- (Can't Live Without Your) Love And Affection. Still basically 80s though a 1990 hit for them. No one seems to do them .... though I have not seen reactors do - Extreme .. either. There are the "Bellamy Brothers" - Let your love flow... a 1976 hit was huge and worldwide for these Country brothers who continued in the 80s recording in Europe also. Not sure if one hit of theirs is politically correct today? The song - If I said you have a beautiful body (would you hold it against me).

Also, maybe Marc Antoine, a French classically trained acoustic guitarist from age 13, incorporating his talent into the jazz fusion world. Listen to the song: Latin Quarter by Marc Antoine... If you dare! 😊 🎸

Thankfully there's so much good music already produced that you don't really have to listen to "today's" offerings, and don't forget you are reacting to the same music that they will probably be reacting to in the future, because there isn't that much music being produced these days that will be worth revisiting in the future.
