Many say they sound like Zeppelin. Their early stuff did have a similar sound but they have kind of found their own style . They were influenced by so many bands. Mostly blues bands . They have a diverse taste in music and Their music IQ is insane .

Yeah they''re definitely finding their own unique voice. Remember, even Zep was basically a hard blues cover band for their first 2 albums, took them a while to become what they would be. Glad to see these guys finding their own path, this latest album is great.

There is a live version of safari song from their early days that is nothing short of amazing. I saw them JUST before they got really big in a bar in North Alabama with about 150 person limit. A month later they blew up. Next time I saw them was at the fox theater in Atlanta. Hope you get to check out that video sometime. Nice react

Getting to know this band has been a life changing experience , why ? I have always been into classic rock, never in my life had the opportunity to enjoy , follow a current band until I discovered them 2 years ago ,,, now I;m obssesed .they're very young but has an impressive musical knowledge ....they're great songwriters . and I love their personalities, a little wild, crazy, funny he he.....must listen songs Heat Above , Age of Machine ,, Age of Man , Light My Love .ect .....

Definitely recommend Age of Man (Live at Red Rocks, if you can!), gorgeous song and one of my favourites of theirs. I'd recommend Heat Above, Light My Love, and Safari Song too

This whole Album is fire guys, all their songs have an equal amount of grit and power and a kind of reverence that you really don’t find in much music today. Broken Bells, this song, is my favorite on the album but you guys would love any song on the “Battle at Gardens Gate” album. I recommend “Heat Above” as well, it’s also got a lot of power about it. These guys are basically trying to bring an older style of music back while giving it a unique modern twist and while they received a lot of criticism for it early on they’ve really developed their own sound and in my opinion, sound like no other cover band or any band I’ve ever heard before. Going down the rabbit whole of Greta really is more of an experience rather than simply becoming a fan. It’s almost Spiritual I would say, which is rare for music that isn’t really written for that particular genre. His voice makes me feel as if I should be on my knees. 😄

I am so glad that now that Young people had/have a chance to here Greta Van Fleet. A lot of there music style comes from there parents music collection and that is kinda how they play music. And even now the days of being called a Led Zeppelin & Rush copycat band are now gone. They have found there element. Great Rock & Roll band.

The LZ comparison , sure I get it - I grew up on LZ . In their earlier stuff , sure there was influence but , here’s the thing . They grew up in a musical home . Their dad played in a band . Still does . ( blues ) . They listened to all kinds of music since they were toddlers . Their influences are diverse . They formed their band when they were 13-15 years old. Kids that age don’t have the maturity or experience to just 100% be themselves. They used their influences initially because they loved all these genres of music and were trying to find who they were . They are now 24-26. They have come into their own , matured and have their own sound. They are extremely talented musicians . I don’t understand the people who say their sound is from the 70’s . I definitely don’t get that at all, (and I grew up then), especially with their new stuff . People complain “rock is dead “ “ we need good music back “ and then you get a talented and humble band like GVF and these same people still complain. To each their own, but even if you aren’t a fan of their sound , there is no denying the raw talent, artistry and intelligence of these guys . They write their own music , they kill it on their instruments , Josh’s vocal range and technique are amazing and they have fans from every age group ! There aren’t too many artists today who you can say all that about . Before I forget , you guys are my favorite! I love your channel ! Your vibe is great . Such positive energy flows from both of you and your chemistry is off the charts ! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family!

Check out their Candlelight Sessions performances.. theres like 4 videos and this song is one of them. i didnt realize theyve been out since 2012. i started listening around 2017/18 but the first time heard them was 2016 on the show Shameless. they were around 19 at the time.. so im sure all four of them are over the age of 21. they're really good live. saw them once. definitely seeing them again. check out -"When The Curtain Falls" -"Black Smoke Rising" -"Safari Song" -"Highway Tune" -"Age of Machine" -"Light My Love" -"The Weight of Dreams" Little bit from the 2 albums & their EP They also did their own version of Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" It really good

Great band - 3 brothers (singer, guitar and bass/keyboards) and a friend on drums. Heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin. They have some amazing music, specially when it seems the mainstream has been fading away from classic/hard rock. Glad to see some youth are carrying the torch and leading the way. I suggest Flower Power for your next GVF listen. Rock on!

Greta Van Fleet is one of my favorite bands these days. You shoudl check out the Broken Bells Candlelight Sessions. Jake has won best guitarist of the year the past two years. They have an amazing catgalog of music. Their first year out they won a Grammy for Best Rock Album. That is when they were super young. The drummer and bass player were only 18 , and the twins, the singer and guitarist were 21. They will be 24 and 27 this year. You need to listen to more. Love your reaction!

I don't know how I missed this one. I just saw it today. Greta Van Fleet is my favorite band of this era besides Beth Hart, and this song is beautiful. You should check out the Candlelight Sessions version Broken Bells live. It is absolutely beautifully done, and each member shines in the video. They have an amazing catalog of music, and even won a Grammy for their first album. I can suggest more songs, but I will do that later. Enjoy!!! Great Reaction!!

They are all in their 20's now. But when they first came out with "Highway Tune" they were 17 and 20 years old. The singer Josh and lead guitar Jake are twins, and are now 26 years old, and the other brother is the keys and bass, Sam is 23, and their good friend the drummer, Danny is 23. Still young and very successful, all shows are always sold out.

I feel they have moved away from their influences and the coincidental Led Zep feel. They growing in multitudes esp. with the songs on Battle At Garden's Gate album. Coming from a long time classic rock fan, they are pursuing their own sound and it is great! I am glad you two got to hear this beautiful tune. And it's a BEAUTIFUL small Town.....they are 20 something men I believe there is 3 of em...maybe 4 Also don't quote me and maybe someone can confirm but I think the band is named after a mother or grandmother? Thought I heard that....

I from Grand Rapids, Mi and 6 years ago or maybe it was 7, during The Festival Or Arts, which happens every year downtown, (a huge variety of performance artist over a 3 day period) while I was working my way towards a modern dance performance going on, I stumbled upon a early show with a high school band. Their groove stopped me in my tracks, and I ended up staying for the whole show.... That band was Greta Van Fleet! I knew that day that they were going to go places, and they did not let me down!
