Freestyle can mean two different things. Lots of OG’s like Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee etc say freestyle in the 80’s was originally a “written verse that’s free of style; non-conceptual and usually braggadocious”. Off-the-dome is also called freestyle but it’s not the only proper use of the word.
