"If I hurt you, I'd make wine from your tears" is probably one of my favorite lines in a song... ever
@@gunlean7738 I guess it'd depend on what the tears were fermented in and how long they're allowed to age... though I do also suspect that the lyric isn't meant to be taken literally, but more metaphorically; like how far he would go to make amends for the pain he'd caused. Sadly; Michael's final act in life, means he is unable to do that now in any other way than through the music he contributed to.

@@gunlean7738 Definitely not anything foul... Whoops!! I mean fowl based. Perhaps something bland so that the 'seasoning' quality of the saltiness can help bring out the flavours; kind of like how some partners can 'bring out' the better qualities of their "other half". Sentimental enough to make one remember everything that led up to a meal of blandness redeemed by salty tear wine and appreciate it without getting overly 'blubbery' while consuming it!!! "I Need You Tonight" is their most famous song - almost impossible not to get up and dance when you hear it - they were one of the truly talented bands from the mid to late 80's - they were HUGE. The whole album "Kick" is almost certainly one of the top 100 albums of the decade if not higher. The lead singer was a icon for women and he passed in a sad and unusual - to say he least - manner - but they were awesome back in 1986-87 one of the real bands back in an odd but great decade of music. This song just grows on you more and more and gets stuck in your head all day.

INXS is a rock band from Australia. This was a love song, so slower and more emotional. I was lucky enough to see the very last tour of INXS in 1997, just a couple of months before the lead signer Michael Hutchence died. I KNOW this from witnessing it in person... His voice is AS GREAT in a live performance as it is in the studio. The whole band was awesome live! Most girls I knew in the 80's and early 90's wanted to have his baby! lol :) One of my female friends told me that every time she heard him sing, she started ovulating! lol. The last vinyl album I ever purchased, before switching to CD's, was INXS "Kick", a great album with some of their biggest hits. I still have that album. You need to listen to "New Sensation", "What you need", "Need you tonight", "Mystify", and "Suicide Blonde". Their official videos are great as well.
