Bruce Dickinson - The human Air-raid siren! Also qualified pilot who pilots the band’s 747 on tour, close to Olympic level fencer (sword fighting), and throat cancer survivor and still singing and touring after 50 years. Bassist Steve Harris is so underrated as a bassist and also composer of many of their song.

Bruce Dickinson, the singer, is a polymath. He is a registered airline pilot, he flies the bands tour plane, he's, obviously, the singer of a world class metal band, he was also, which explains his physique, a national level fencer. So yeah, he'd be solid back up in a fight, probably still, the band still tours and its nearly 40 years since this show.

Interesting fact - this performance at Hammersmith Odeon was timed to the release of the album so the crowd had never heard this song. Hence why they seem so spellbound by it; they're quite literally all experiencing what you are. Later versions show them totally rocking out and singing along. It's almost metal theatre with the stageshow they put on. Lucky enough to have seen them twice and both times they were sensational.

Saw them in Memphis open for 38 special in 1982. They were touring with anyone they could traveling around in a station wagon and a box van. Knew when I saw them they were gonna be huge. They were promoting this album.

Her reaction was awesome. She recognized talent. He looks like he was waiting for the song to be over. He wasn't taking it in.

Tip/suggestion: Lex's personality/enthusiasm/interest is positively infectious, I barely know any women into metal so this is nice. Brad makes me laugh because you can tell especially in earlier videos when he's not feeling something or annoyed because his face will be all tense like he's constipated lol. You're both dope. Anyway, I know that KZbin wants stuff this way where you have a little snippet in the beginning of what's to come, but pleease don't spoil the react within the first few seconds. It makes people not as interested. Hella react channels do it this way :(

My favorite Maiden song 🤘 this was from 1982. You'll love Fear of the Dark live at Rock in Rio. PS, in my opinion, they are always better to watch live because Bruce is an absolute fantastic front man... besides having one of the best metal voices ever ❤

Iron Maiden are definitely entertainers not just musicians! Also this was 80s, they started late 70s but all their good shit, which this is, is in the 80s. They like to take you on a journey with the music.

Cradle of Filths remake of this was really good. It’s more “remastered” and “heavier” for Lex

Iron Maiden is my favorite band of all time. They are definitely gods of heavy metal. Although they have been around since the 70s, they are mostly predominately an 80s to early 90s metal band. The Steve Harris, Bruce Dickinson, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain lineup was the best!

I know you've already reacted to some heavier stuff, but be warned, early Maiden is a gateway drug. What I started on back when this came out.
