Hey! J Cole has been inspiring BTS since the very beginning of their career. He's not only J-Hope's idol. His lyrical flow style influenced all three of the rappers in BTS. J Cole released "Born Sinner" on June 3, 2013. Ten days later, BTS debuted to the world. In the middle of all the promotions and appearances that go along with a debut, they wrote a cover/remake of Born Sinner called "Born Singer". It was not on any album, just an unofficial song they put on Soundcloud for free, but they did perform it at their earliest concerts. Fast forward to 2022, when BTS released an anthology of their biggest hits and favorite B-sides. The first song on that massive 3-disc collection? It was not one of the new songs on the album. It was not their best-selling song. It was not the one with the most awards. It was Born Singer. Respect for J Cole is real for BTS. The second song features Anderson Paak. on drums. He's a good friend of theirs. That's followed by an interview, and the last song is at the end.

Thanks for your reaction, appreciate you🙏 Out of love, JHope wrote this as a farewell-for-now to fans because he had to enlist in mandatory military service and will be starting his duty probably within the next month or two (all able bodied S. Korean men have to serve for about 1 1/2 years; SK and NKorea have been in a cold war for decades, sadly). JHope and his BTS band bros always try to be positive for everyone and shared that they'll look at this time as an opportunity to grow (and regroup in 2025 after their military stints). So in many ways, Cole's meaningful verses can also be relevant to JHope's own layered life experiences. But it's also like Cole, in his generosity, is sending JHope off to this new phase in life. imo. JHope respects this man, and it shows with how he's just dancing to Cole's parts - just like JHope did back in the day, before he/BTS got world famous, when Hope was a street dancer, and started "Hope On The Street" (videos shared of him freestyle dancing to beats, including JCole's). 'on the street (with JCole)' is a continuation of that. JHope is legit the epitome of "hope", good vibes, humility and gratitude - and you can feel it. He's not only 1 of 3 BTS rappers, but a singer, songwriter/producer and the group's Dance Leader. JHope and his BTS bros are elite performers, THE most globally successful, record-breaking group today - not just in Korea, but worldwide. But they started as a broke bottom group, rooted in hip hop, and grinded their way up to the top of the top. JHope's a big part of how they got there.

Golden Corral is a buffet restaurant (it's big down here in North Carolina), he's eating that Top 10 list of Hip Hop Artists of all time list that came out last month. J Hope is actually singing about Army (BTS fandom). He is a member of BTS, and all members are going off to the military (mandatory enlistment for Korean men), so he is saying see you soon. Because Cole has always been an influence and someone that J Hope looked up to (he started off as a street dancer who danced to J Cole songs and named his mixtape Hope World in his honor. They met up last year when J Hope headlined at Lollapalooza) he said that he felt like J Cole had a lot he wanted to say so he let him have the lions hare of the song out of respect and admiration (which is why he is dancing while Cole raps, he's getting back to his roots). He has a mixtape out (Hope World) and an album (Jack in the Box), and there is a rapline in BTS (RM, J Hope and Suga). They have lots of collabs and solo work as well. J-hope is a member of BTS. They are the biggest band in the world. J-hope will be enlisting very soon for his mandatory military service. He is not singing to his Mrs., he is singingto ARMY. This song is his goodbye for now to ARMY. I recommend you check out his most recent album Jack in the Box. J Cole has always been his inspiration. He is one of 3 Rappers and the Dance Leader of BTS. BTS are Major Rap fans, consisting of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They started as a Rap Group back in 2013. Their Journey is nuts bc it is the ultimate Underdog Story. They went from all 7 members Sharing one bedroom, recording their 1st album in a garage, no funds, small company near bankruptcy, to being who they are today. RM (Rapper, BTS Leader, Main Writer, Producer) JHope (Rapper, Dance Leader, writer/producer) & Suga (Rapper, Main Producer, Writer) - they put so much emphasis on their respect for Hip Hop & Rap. They each have Solo projects but if you are interested in hearing them there are some good suggestions. "Hip Hop Phile" release 2014. The 3 rappers pay homage to their inspirations in Rap. Hope is such a performer that Lollapalooza called his performance Hobipalooza. We love them BTS so much. This is his farewell song cause he is going to the military. It is his thankyou and love song for ARMY (their fans). I think J Hope let Mr Cole do the hard part tout of respect. He is his idol. You should listen to some rap from BTS they are fire. Hundreds of songs that are really amazing.

J-hope is one of the rappers of BTS. I think the reason that j-hope only had one verse and j-cole had a longer verse was because j-hope was dancing tho coles verse. J-hope was a street dancer and this are his roots he is a fan off j-cole. you should check out his mixtape (hope world) and album ( jack in the box)

The song actually has a very similar topic and theme for both artists. Jhope's is about his career and his fans. He's enlisting in the army soon for mandatory military service, so it's a temporary goodbye until he's out and can make music again. J.Cole's was also about his career and his fans. They both talk about the reason for their drive and the reason they keep making music in the first place.

If you wanna hear more of Jhope you can start of with his recent solo album or maybe with his old mixtape(2018) I would recommend going with „Arson“ and then „More“ from his recent solo album, both songs have MV‘s that‘s why it‘s cool to start there. My personal favorites from his new album are „Equal Sign (=)“ and „Future“ along with „Arson“ but I‘m more of a singer so maybe those are not yours. I would recommend „What if“ as a B-side for you

BORN SINGER is the BTS adaption of BORN SINNER by J.Cole in 2013 when they debuted and J.Cole gave them permission to use it for the first track of their 9th anniversary anthology album on June 13, 2022.
