These songs were crazy. I've only heard BTS as a group and actually a good amount of their stuff, but I've never checked out their solo work. I definitely will now. Also had never pictured J-Cole teaming up w/ someone from BTS but that song is dope AFFFFFFF.

The great thing about their solo stuff is that you find out how wildly different they really are from each other, which makes you realize how totally insane it is that they work together as a group. You've got Jin leaning pop rock; JK with the pure pop; RM experimenting with stuff like "Lonely" and "Forg_tful"; j-hope going from "Blue Side" to "MORE" to "on the street." Nobody has much of a guess about what Jimin will drop on March 24, and what the hell has SUGA been up to?

Best way to learn about a new artist is to go through a couple songs to make sure they aren’t a one hit wonder! Great reaction. J-hope not only has his own solo albums - Jack In the Box (2022), Hope World (2018) - he also has solo songs within BTS discography (as do other BTS members). So lots of music for you to enjoy. For those come around to the second round watching On The Street, notice (spoilers below so don't click if you don't want them) -the child in the beginning wearing the same clothes as J-Cole. This is also the street where J-Cole filmed Simba. -j-hope is on the streets and in the underground while J-Cole on top -When j-hope's foot drops before J-Cole starts his verse, it looks like he's becoming a marionette. Because he's dancing J-Cole's bars (j-hope was a street dancer before becoming a rapper) -What is J-Cole saying when j-hope is dancing and the trains pass in different directions and j-hope pauses -When they meet at the top, what the billboard says behind them? It's never simple with BTS lyrics and videos. I watch them 3 or 4 times to get it all. So grateful to J-Cole for blessing us with his verse. I hope he doesn't pass the crown just yet, but whenever he's ready to I'll let go with love.

70 year old Army here. J-hope started dancing at age 10 and became a street dancer. He was inspired by and danced to some of the hip hop greats such as Wu Tang Clan. The little boy can have two meanings. He can be little J-hope or he can represent the BTS Army (fans). But one thing is for sure, this is J-hope's farewell gift to Army before he enlists in the South Korean military for his mandatory 18 months of service. J-hope was in the underground subway and J Cole was on a rooftop and that speaks to J-hope's deep respect for J Cole who he has idolized for several years. Thank you again for your great reaction!!! 💜

He was dancing to J. Cole underground because Hobi "only" became a rapper when he entered Big Hit to debut with their team - before they actually became an Idol group. Personally I think Hoseok made Jack in the Box to prove his Hiphop cred to the (K-)Hiphop world as he didn't have the kind of rap cred as Namjoon and Yoongi. His (and BTS) music is so good! I love their lyrics!

(and yeah.. that "artist" who shall not be named is not worthy to be considered anything has/had success there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) But I think Hobi sees it a bit different if you look at his invitation list for his album drop party (and that he was on the show with that rapper who thinks he is the biggest real rapper in Asia). One of the few promo interviews Hobi gave was also with Zico for a reason.

j-hope has really smashing it as a solo artist, his first ever solo album was released summer of 2022. Really really good, concept wise and music. Arson and More are from that album. He had a mixtape released in 2018 called Hope World (piggybacking off of J. Cole who is one of his favorite artists and a big inspiration to him) which is one of my favorite and definitely my most listened to solo project from any of the members of BTS. He's done a lot of really great stuff when he's with his group BTS. BTS have been around since 2013 so there's a ton of music to check out if you want to give them a listen!!

J-Hope is actually enlisting in the Korean military soon (military service is mandatory for all able bodied men in South Korea). So all 7 members of BTS will have to serve at least 18 months. Jin the oldest member of BTS enlisted back in December and the others will enlist after their own solo schedules are completed, but they plan to reunite in 2025. j-hope is a South Korean Rapper, he makes his own music. he's a great lyricist and a marvelous dancer. j-hope is joining the Military Service soon (it's mandatory for Koreans), so "On The Street" is his goodbye song for his fans until he returns in some years. He used to dance to J Cole's songs when he was a street dancer, his favorite album is Cole's album "Friday Night Lights" , an inspiration to start making his own beats. Also, he named his first mixtape as "Hope World" after "Cole World", even now, he showed the big respect he has for JCole, he gave many bars to JCole while j-hope was dancing to his bars, as he used to do when he was an underground dancer. j-hope is a hip hop lover who has been experimenting on many directions to his music, he recently released his solo album "Jack in The Box", its really an album for hip-hop lovers. To end, j-hope joining JCole for meeting at the roof is really meaningful and doing a song with his muse, as j-hope said, its really especial. Fun facts: They met at Lollapalooza, where j-hope was a headliner, Their meeting is on "j-hope in the Box" as documentary at Disney+ j-hope was whistling, and he loved the melody, so he went to studio and recorded it, thats how this song started.

I really love on the street 🔥 J-hope let J. Cole own this song and I respect that. He's his muse. I think this is such a great collab. J.Cole verse is fire, J-hope's verse is short but both killed it! 🔥 Cole ATE that. His verse is fcking amazing! J-hope composed the song and the melody, both wrote the lyrics and his producer 'Pdogg' did a great job too because it feels more like a J cole song with a little bit of J-hope essence and It's great. This song also served as a farewell (for now) song for J Hope to Army (fandom name) as he is about to enlist for his obligatory military duties. To have Cole on this track is huge obviously because of how much he inspired him. J-Hope started as a street dancer, so him giving a large portion of the track to Cole while he could dance to it during the music video was just him kind of paying homage to his roots.

So happy you liked j-hope! Your video format is cool, it's nice that you keep it open to check out more stuff. I very much encourage you to keep falling in this rabbit hole ! My personal favorites from j-hope is Daydream and Safety Zone, and within the BTS catalogue, his solo songs Boy Meets Evil and Ego are really good too. And I know I'm just throwing song names and it's probably getting confusing, but Airplane has a part 2 in a BTS album from 2018 if I'm not mistaken. The second verse from Airplane is re-used in Airplane pt 2 and it's soooo good. As for the materialistic subjects, J-hope (and BTS) definitely have their moments where they flex their success and talk shit about the haters, but a lot of their songs are very deep and more personal. I personally don't mind when they get cocky though, they have the right to be at this point XD

J-hope was a street dancer before he joined BTS...and J. Cole has been his inspiration, his muse he's a big fan of J. Cole.. he love Friday night life and Higher.. his first Mixtape called 'Hope World' inspired by Cole World.. Please check out his latest album Jack In the box with the main title tracks 'Arson' and 'More'. Also Check out his live performance on lollapalooza last year where he's the headliner..Also j-hope met J. Cole on Lollapalooza and they keep talking and the this collab born..Easily the best Collab of the Year! He's also a very great dancer.. very influenced by hip hop..he's the dance leader in BTS This man has so many talents, dancing, rapping, singing, choreographer, composer etc he can do it all and he's really good at it.. his stage presence is no joke man..Army saying he's the king of stage..if you want to check out his dancing check out Hope World dance practice for Lollapalooza also Boy Meet Evil where he dances in the MV..so many other projects and they're all amazing..j-hope never ceases to amaze me..thank you for the reaction i will looking forward for the next j-hope's reaction videos.. And the ending scene it's J. Cole welcoming j-hope to his world..welcoming him to the family..it's like Initiation! That was like, "welcome to the family, brother."

Many people tend to criticize and belittle BTS for being a boy band and for the prejudice that they are Korean, but they really have very interesting music (both as a group and solo). The more you know them you will realize that they have spectacular music! with incredible messages, with social criticism. They are very aware of the problems in youth and in their society, they are beautiful people!

Appreciated the open mind you had for an artist you never heard before, and how you immediately checked out his other music, instead of bargaining for likes (you got mine for that!). I like your generosity and hope that brings you more views and subscribers!

I just want to say one thing. Being a HUGE fan, a BTS ARMY, especially of J-Hope's solo tracks like this, I like to watch reactions to his music like this - THIS RIGHT HERE brought me so much joy. The way you giggling and dancing to the beat, really vibing to this music - really so much JOY. I am beyond proud of J-Hope and BTS and how far they've come in the last 10 years. I'm only 4 minutes into this video and stopped to comment. THANK YOU for loving on Hobi and I am now subscribed, patiently waiting for more BTS reactions (may I suggest a few: BTS/Mic Drop, Cypher pt 3:Killer, Hip Hop Phile / solo stuff: RM/Wildflower, Change Suga/Daechwita, Tony Montana, That That and J-Hope/Ego, Daydream) Thank you again, much love from ARMY.

Honestly, I knew who J.Cole was before this, of course (the rappers in BTS worship him), but I'd never really checked out his stuff. BUT THESE BARS!!! No wonder our rappers are so inspired by him. His lyricism is DOPE. Hope can rap too, but I think he was just like, "Here's the melody, do whatever you like with it!" They met up at Lollapalooza last year, and I seriously thought Hope was going to faint. LOL

I SO love that you decided to listen to other Jhope songs. Airplane is in my top three favorite songs on the planet. He is my bias and there is a reason why JCole chose to do a song with him. Jhope is a street dancer. He went back to his roots.
