What a great reaction, dude! I was unfamiliar with the song, despite being a total Jeff Beck fan for decades. So, I love that you are introduced to Beck in a way that couldn't be more perfect for you. Jeff Beck is a legend, my friend; the guitarist's guitarist, the Governor, one of guitar's greatest and most unique virtuosos. The king has died, long live Jeff Beck.

Jeff Beck wasn't a singer he was a great guitarist. Some of the greatest living guitarists say we lost the Chairman of Guitarists. RIP. First time I've seen this video as well. 👍

I heard this for the first time going through all of his music weeks ago after he sadly passed. That performance in particular with the sunsetting was like his spirit speaking..I cannot listen to this without crying, it is the most emotional guitar piece I have ever listened to.. No one could copy that sound, feel and electric energy that Jeff sends out to us.. Just utterly amazing!!!

Jeff Beck was very unique. He made the guitar sing. He captures vocal nuances unlike any other I have heard.

The most incredible thing about Jeff Beck is that he never stopped seeking out new sounds. Rock, Blues, Rockabilly, Jazz Fusion, Heavy Rock, Electronic, Punk you name it. He avoided being boxed in and collaborated with everyone he could. Even at the cost of the fame he deserved. His last two albums were with a modern UK Punk band and an aspiring Blues singer. Who knows what could have been next.

Collaboration with Ozzy was pretty good, too.

Jeff beck was an incredible instrumentalist. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform back in 1999. He played an instrumental version of The Beatles' A Day in the Life that brought me to tears. I would highly recommend that song as well as his version of Stevie Wonder's Cause We've Ended as Lovers and the Judy Garland classic Somewhere Over the Rainbow. If you like those we can talk about exploring his Rock, Blues and Jazz repertoire. Rest in Peace Jeff, tho you are truly immortal. Cheers!

Jeff was a great loss. Whether you react to it, or just listen to it for your own pleasure, you need to hear Jeff's version of Stevie Wonder's 'Cause We've Ended As Lovers

Yes on iTunes. Get the whole record Emotion & Commotion which was a later record in his epic career and it is FIRE. Please check them all, great beginning to the most unique picker ever rabbit hole. He was also an accomplished hotrod builder in the UK. Just died unexpectedly and it sucks. The guy was 78 but in great shape and somehow got better every year . Good friends with Jimmy Page since they were 13!!

Jeff Beck played with Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton in 'The Yard Birds' in the late 1960''s. His most epic performance was at 'Ronnie Scott's Jazz Lounge' with an audience of rock stars and who's who in the recording industry........OMG to say the least. Full video on youtube.

I was afraid you'd be disappointed it wasn't a vocal. Jeff Beck sadly died in recent weeks. I'd just discovered him at age 70 when Dion DiMucci(from Dion and the Belmonts) paired his songs to contemporary guitarists. Of course I'd heard of Jeff Beck but when Dion in his eighties sang a recent song he'd written with Jeff Beck I was blown away by Jeff Beck and as I have been since the 50's blown away by Dion's singing.

Sung By Jeff Beck??? No. He collaborates with some of the greats. Joss Stone is one. Wembley Stadium 2014 is great. I prefer to watch the videos from 2007 and 2009 when that young little girl, Tal Wilkenfeld , that is his NOT daughter, is playing Bass. I love the interaction between them.
