So glad you chose this. Jeff does an amazing job on this beautiful Puccini aria. He did classical music way back in the 60’s too (Beck’s Bolero). His guitar was his voice. No one can compare to the talent he has controlling the balance between feedback and perfection with the whammy bar.

Jeff beck is brilliant. I use to listen to his music when i was a young man in the late 70's and 80's. Sadly to say he passed away in Jan. of this year.

Jeff Beck was one of the greatest Electric Rock & Roll, Blues guitarist to ever live, helped start the whole British Invasion thing back in the mid to late 60s. Unfortunately, he died suddenly from natural causes just a couple months ago. If you liked this song, there is a song that goes, going down the same lane so to speak, that he did with Eric Clapton, "Moon River". It's here on KZbin, Live performance.

Welcome to the electric guitar and what it can do. In the hands of Jeff Beck? OMG. Jeff is beyond.

Jeff Beck was never noted for speed (though he was fast) or tagged to any one specific genre of music; he marched to his own beat and the world loved him for it. Jeff's most notable attribute on guitar was his unparalleled technique that was so singularly his own; that famously smooth legato he incorporated into much of his music, and his interpretations of pieces of music, that few even looked at, gave us an insight into the extra flare and appreciation that he had for the versatility of the instrument and his ability to fully display it.

Jeff Beck was a friend and the reason I play guitar. He passed away 1/12/23. He is the best there ever was, playing guitar in every genre. For the first 7 albums he put out, he played them all by ear, as he didn’t know the notes on the guitar. George Martin ( the Beatles producer) was the first person Jeff told. George’s mouth dropped. George produced ‘ Blow by Blow’ Jeff’s best selling album. George Martin considered Jeff Beck to be the best guitarist ever, as Jeff played EVERY GENRE. Les Paul ( I’m sure you know who that is) thought Jeff was King of Guitarist, ‘ Jeff has perfect pitch, therefore can play any genre & as for other guitarist , listen and learn.’ Les Paul. Jeff Beck, you will always be extraordinary, and very missed.❤

I really enjoyed watching you watching this. Jeff and Pavarotti were good friends, having recorded a tribute song to Caruso together. When one of Pavarotti's friends put together a "memorial" concert/tribute for Pavorotti in Italy, all of these opera types were as startled as you were when Jeff came out and blew them away with note-perfect renditions of the kind of music they considered "real music." For Jeff, if he could hear it, he could make his guitar sing it. Again, many thanks for the joy of your reaction.

Jeff Beck could leave you teary eyed and choked up with emotion with the beauty of what he played. As this dude just found out. "Where Were You" off the Guitar Shop album will probably leave him a speachless soggy blob in his chair.

It sad because Jeff Beck passed away January 10 this year. I am blessed have seen him twice. In the guitar industry he's your favorite guitarists' guitarist and was and is a guitar god. Id suggest his covers of Over the Rainbow, Danny Boy, Sleepwalk and any of his live albums. Especially the the stuff that's been released in the last two to 3 decades.
@j.kevvideoproductions.6463 Жыл бұрын
I was blessed to have seen him twice as well. Once in 1976, then much later in 2011. He was actually much better in 2011. He grew and evolved throughout his career.

Isn't that just beautiful? Hard to imagine any other rock guitarist even thinking of attempting this piece, let alone doing it so magnificently. Give Beck's version of Nadia, an Indian classical piece, a listen. It's beautiful and amazing.

Oh and his rocking stuff, Shapes Of Things, Beck's Bolero, Big Block, Freeway Jam, Led Boots. You can't go wrong because his entire career was spent innovating.

The entire Jeff Beck Live from Ronnie Scott's performances (covering three or four nights), and available on KZbin are a listening must. But PLEASE react to Jeff's covers of Stevie Wonder's Cause We Ended as Lovers (Tal Wilkenfeld's bass solo will leave you tasered) and Charles Mingus's Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. You might also want to react to Jeff's cover of Billy Cobham's Stratus, featuring Vinnie Colaiuta. Dive into this magical, magical musical experience -
