Well, you're a long way behind -- that video is 7 years old, and the song is 8 years old. Would it be too confusing to jump to their latest single "Kafka" which dropped last week with an Official Lyric Video?

Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is amazing. Yes, she does the growl in most of her songs. She taught herself to do it. To fully appreciate how good this band is, react to their live material. I recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 as a follow up reaction. Good reaction. (Subbed) 💛💙🌻

Each member of Jinjer are virtuosi on their instruments, and masters of their craft. Live, Tatiana is absolutely magnetic as a front woman. She positively demands your attention. She is also the primary lyricist, weaving her words and vocal lines in between the other 3's instrumentals. There really isn't another band quite like them.

Watching first time Jinjer listeners never gets old :) So as others have mentioned, the next in the usual "journey" you would take down this rabbit hole is Perennial - Live at Wacken 2019, this is a pure live show which lets you see its no gimmick what she does. This video of Pisces is a studio session yes, but it has had some post production done to it. If you are still interested in the band from that, they did an interview and 3 live songs with Audiotree which will give you an awesome insight in to the personalities of the band, how they create their songs and 3 amazing live one takes. From there, so much more - Judgement & Punishments - one take Teacher, Teacher Someone's Daughter Wallflower Got tickets to see them for the first time in March, insanely excited about it!

There are a few songs where she doesn't do that technique. It's called "false chord screaming/growling". It's a difficult technique to learn and if done wrong can harm your voice. She's been doing it for about 15 years now. She learned it because she heard a few other singers do it. She's self taught but somehow managed to learn it the correct way. If you want to see another one a good second song for them would be Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air 2019.

"Harsh vocals" (as opposed to "clean vocals") is the standard musicological term. Most people prefer "screaming" with a minority using "growling" for the deepest, er, growls 😉

Well, you are fun! Great reaction. I've been a metalhead since I was 13 and I'm 61 now, so I've got the receipts.Jinjer twisted my head about 6 or 7 years ago and I can't stop looking. This is an astonishing rabbit hole of excellence and diversity should you choose to dig deeper. If you do, I'm here for it. All the recommends for where to go next have been mentioned so I'll leave it to you, but with 5.1k views after 4 days, you know the Jinjer Army will jump on it, whatever you pick, and please do, you won't be disappointed and hopefully you'll fall in love like the rest of us.

Jinjer is one of the top female fronted metal bands today. There are a lot of female lead singers that can growl but only a handful at her level. Check out her one take of Judgment and Punishment also her live performance circle with me with Courtney Laplant of Spirit Box. The Jinjer rabbit hole is one well worth jumping into.

There are so many songs I can recommend here, but I think perhaps watching the full 2018 Wachen festival show would give you an idea of how damned good they all are. And it ends with Perennial, which is an amazing song. But also Judgement and Punishment, where she sings alone, shows you her full abilities. And the new one- Someone's Daughter- is just incredible and moving.

Tatiana does have awesome harsh vocals and a beautiful tone to her regular singing voice. Need to check out other female artists that have good harsh and regular vocals. Consider Ad Infinitum with Melissa Bonny, Arch Enemy with Angela Gossow (previous singer) and Alissa White-Gluz (current singer). There are many others but these are a great place to start. As mentioned before, alao consider Nightwish, Epica, Delain, Within Temptation to get you started in the female fronted band genre.

A lot of people are talking about the false chord screams she does, but I think you were asking specifically about the small part at the end she does only for about 2 measures. That's called "belting." She doesn't do it on most of their songs though I think I have heard her do it on a few others but can't remember.

Some of the founding members are MIA, some of them left the band but still are involved behind the scenes in various ways, some got different jobs, the original founding members became an actor, one of the drummers was paralyzed after falling out of a window and the guy who replaced him couldn't commit to the touring schedule this band has (constant touring for the past 10 years with the beginning of last conflict in Ukraine being their only break from touring as all three men in the band currently were in Ukraine at the time)

I'd say the usual path is that the next songs are the live versions of Who is Going to be the One, and Perennial... those 3 are kind of the right of passage for new Jinjer listeners... after that it varies.... I'd say maybe jump right into their newer stuff and then back track after... someone's daughter and rougue (newer videos) are both really good and kind of a contrast to each others.... for other artists.. try Opeth... the best one to start with there is Ghost of Perdition live at Red Rocks

Well, Tati learned it at about 15 I think by shouting at cars in the winter night of Ukraine at the outskirts of (I think) Horlovka, a city next to Donezk, where she comes from. She took a friend with her, too scared and embarrassed to go alone... Tatiana never had "screaming" classes and as far as I know only very few singing classes, so she is mainly self-taught. 😁🤘

Great reaction cutie! You’re so much fun to watch. Here’s some stuff I read. Tatiana is a Pisces. She’s a lot more quiet off stage. It’s about swimming upstream looking for light and love only to be caught and killed by handsome butchers. When the war in Ukraine started, their home, they all volunteered. They were told to continue touring and support the cause. Should have kept her.😊❤

"Neptune's child" is actually one of the obscurer parts of the lyrics. My interpretation is that (in modern astrology, obviously) Neptune is the controlling planet for the starsign Pisces. So anyone born under Pisces is "Neptune's child." But most people dispute that interpretation 😉
