It’s about being away from your true love Expressing that he is dealing with his circus of a life under the big top. Which is the world. Loving what he does and his friends. But in the end he wants you to know he kisses you every second and can’t wait to see you when he gets home. It’s always like he is rediscovering his true love over and over again and you don’t need to worry he is only yours

Neal Schon was a guitarist for Santana. He and Greg Rolie quit Santana. They founded Journey. Santana, Journey and I were born in San Francisco. I grew up listening to both bands. Coming 2023, this will be 40 years old.🎂 Faithfully was released in 1983. Written by Jonathan Cain. He is on piano and synth. Steve Perry was the lead singer. The lead singer now is Arnel Pineda. Neal Schon discovered AP on the Internet! The late Prince called Jonathan Cain to have him listen to Purple Rain because he thought it sounded like Faithfully and didn’t want to step on any toes. JC said Purple Rain was inspired by Faithfully but not copied. JC gave a big thumbs up! 👍 RIP Prince. Drums by Steve Smith. 🥁 Same year, 1983. Faithfully song sounds like Heaven. Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. BA needed a drummer to record Heaven. His drummer Mickey Curry was not available because he was required by a prior contract to play with another musician. Steve Smith happened to be in town, New York. Thus, Heaven sounds like Faithfully. Suggested videos: 1 Steve Perry sings Foolish Heart 2 Bryan Adams sings Heaven.

Journey invented the power ballad as it is called and had the best front man ever with Steve Perry. No one had the vocal range or quality that he did.

Dirt, snow and tunnels can all happen in a single day of traveling through California. I've done it before...from sunny palm trees in LA to snow capped mountains in Bakersfield, to fields of orange groves in Visalia, then through the Mojave desert in Ridgecrest. It's crazy and beautiful.

Iconic memory... the concert omg they laid it out for us, gave 110% laid it at our feet. The vocal, the guitar, drums all of it. An experience you remember like a moment shared with 100000 in attendance that was magical, exhilarating, and unforgettable. His vocal still just wow

the song is about a music man who has to tour around the world for his concerts, and has a wife and kids that stand by him and he to his family faithfully in spite of the long separations from each othe

Love that band, with Steve Perry. Super soulful singer. Try " The Girl Can't Help It" official video, also live. Try " Mother, Father" live in Houston from 1981, Steve Perry, the singer, will blow your mind. It shows how technically superior the band was back then. Steve Perry is one of the best singers in popular music history. Super soulful brother.

I saw them on the Frontiers tour in, I believe it was May, 1983. I saw them on the Escape tour in 1982. This song sounds exactly the same, maybe even better live. Steve's voice is one of the top 3 in rock. The other 2, in my opinion, are Ann Wilson of Heart and Freddie Mercury of Queen. As I said I saw Steve twice, Ann once in 1977 and Freddie twice in 1980 & 1982.

This guy keeps messing up the video by commenting on random stuff rather than feeling the flow of the music. His girl was really getting into the song at the end and he stops it to talk about the guitarist fingers moving. On this one, it's best to experience it and not analyze the video. Much Love for Journey.

Put the cig down. Get some oxygen. He's not talking about them being faithful to each other or the band.. It's about a relationship being challenged by being on the road. Yet as she stands by him, ... he is faithfully still hers.

HARD to believe the band didnt want Steve as lead singer, their manager told them Steve's IN THE BAND, DEAL With IT ! All extremely talented, lead guitarist , Neil Schonn (sp?) has one of the most amazing back stories. Dropped out of high school & was playing for SANTANA as a teenager!!!

This video is from Journey's 'Frontiers And Beyond' documentary, in 1983. It's a great documentary to watch. And if you love this song and video. Please react to Journey's ..... 'Why Can't This Night Go On Forever'. It's another video from their other documentary called 'Raised On Radio' from 1986

Really great reaction guys! You got the song/video at its heart. Here’s a few great ones to compare to this one, Fleetwood Mac - The Chain Dokken - Alone Again Nightranger - Sing Me Away ☺️✌️🎶 Ooooh, if you guys haven’t, Aerosmith - Dream On Has to be live circa 70’s Maybe 74 or 76 Cannot beat that one it’s legendary 🌸

Here's an idea, how about practicing saying the name of the song correctly when you're introducing a reaction. I mean, how hard is it really? It's called focus. Disrespectful to the band, disrespectable to their fans, disrespectable to your viewers. But then so is talking over the video while it's playing and not paying attention. Maybe a little less smoking, a little more focusing. Just sayin'.
