This is only a portion of the song that’s on the video. You can look at album version or extended version for a whole different perspective of the song.

Kendrick has said that his music is "human music". My favorite line of his is not even a verse. He says "I'm not the most socially aware rapper, I'm a human fucking being, over dope ass instrumentation.. Kendrick Lamar!".

Another great (and deep) reaction! I was introduced to Kendrick's music via Ren and his references to Kendrick. Ren, of course, is another vulnerable, soul-baring artist. As part of my job, I do maintenance for apartments and houses. I'm 65 years old and was painting a room with the manager's 13-year-old son. He was playing his favorite rap artists on Spotify, and I think I surprised him by talking about some of the rap artists I knew. I'm more familiar with old school, and had a chance to see Public Enemy live back in the '80's. Also listened to quite a bit of Eminem over the years. Anyway, I asked him if he was familiar with Ren. He wasn't, but he looked him up on Spotify, played Lost All Faith and Seven Sins. He seemed to like it, because he launched into the second song without hesitation. When he heard the reference to Kendrick in Seven Sins, he said he loved Kendrick's music. I had never heard it before, so he played some for me, and I instantly recognized it as being pretty deep, raw and next-level. Loved it right away! I thought back to my own childhood in the 1960's and '70's. There was such a huge generation gap back then that I could never have introduced any of my music to my grandparents--or vice versa. They loved Lawrence Welk (and there's a place for that, too, I have since discovered...) 😂 An amusing aside: My name is Ken--and for years the manager (a huge hip-hop fan) has always called me Kendrick, who is one of his favorite rappers as well.

Compared to the the usual pause talk, pause talk videos amongst KZbin reactions, I like how they ingested the whole music video in one take, and then digested the video afterwards to form a better understanding of their interpretation of the music and video.

By the way in the first clip of the song part of the video showed the "good kid" (young kendrick) in red clothes and wings, thats showing how he used to be an angel and then he put on the mask grew up lost his wings and now hes taking off the mask, the loosing of the wings is showing how hes saying "i feel like im fallen" as a fallen angel. And at the end young kendrick holds him
