Greetings from Canada. I would quibble with that line you read about their signature Hard Rock additions... make it Blues Rock and I'm there. They have, besides Hard Rock and Blues Rock, mastered Funk Rock, Prog Rock, Folk Rock and Psychedelic Rock. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

Their live performances are amazing too, they improvised at their concerts, longer solos & adding lyrics. Each concert was unique, they would play for 3 to 4 hours nonstop. They’ve sold over 300 million albums, they didn’t release many singles, just albums, they had complete control over their music which is or was rare for musicians. They were the first band to break attendance record for the most tickets sold for a single act concert. Sadly they only were together from August (1968) to September (1980) when the best drummer ever past away, they knew they couldn’t replace him or any of them. The 3 remaining band members & drummer John Bonham’s son Jason preformed in 2007 celebration concert. In 2 hours, there were requests for 20 million tickets, there were only 20,000 seats available. They had a lottery for the tickets, to give everyone a fair chance. You can do lives of that concert too, still amazing in their 60’s.

I believe when the performed this live in their early days the like Send You The Bill was replaced with Send You To Hell. Good review.

They were only together as a band for 2 months when they recorded this amazing debut album. Their first rehearsal was on August 19,1968, the singer Robert Plant turned 20 the next day. Drummer John (Bonzo) Bonham had turned 20 in May. Bass player & keyboards John Paul Jones or (JPJ) was 23. Band founder who also produced mixed & edited all their albums, & lead guitarist was 24. These four geniuses are each the GOATS of their crafts, & together THE GODS OF MUSIC. Everything they did is amazing, & they have inspired many musicians, even today. Highly recommend you check out all their music, it’s well worth the journey they will take you, thank you for your reaction. Singer Robert Plant is also an amazing harmonica player too.

@@robertphelps1574 I think Jimmy had more to recording the album than JPJ. Page & manager Peter Grant funded it, Page produced mixed & edited it. They signed with Atlantic Records on November 11,1968, after the album was recorded etc.
