I don't see how anyone can keep completely still during this song, unless they're dead inside.

One of my favorite Skynyrd songs. Even if they didn't write it, they do a bang up job of it.

With all due respect to JJ Cale, no one is reacting to his version of it. Glad he wrote it though, very glad.

@@scottrackley4457 yeah, same with "After Midnight", better writer than performer

If you're interested in reacting to the original, this is a cover of a JJ Cale song. Cale also originally did "Cocaine" and "After Midnight", the most famous covers of which are probably Eric Clapton's.

The late great Stevie Ray Vaughn described blues this way. There are three basic tempos. The first is to imagine a man just walking down the street. Not in any rush. Maybe window shopping. Then he likens aa tempo comparable to a horse galloping. The classic 4 beat because when a horse gallops no two legs are on the ground at any time. Finally there is the train. That sound of it rolling down the tracks. He called this Texas blues. Now J. J. Cale who wrote this song is a Texan. And if you listen closely you can hear all 3 guitarists each playing these separately. Absolute genius.

Big Soul Stan - Brothrman, you were groovin' to that song big time. I love your channel and your fantastic attitude and commentary. Thanks for all your Hard work and significant reactions.

This song of theirs is really off the chart incredible. Words don't do justice to the band's raw talent. I was a big fan in the day but I have to say that my appreciation of them has grown exponentially since the Internet. Their songs only get better with time. Absolutely loved your reaction too. You channeled it for me man. I'm sure You've already done it but in case you haven't, try their song, "Simple Man".

What a fun reaction. Ballad of Curtis Loew if you haven't reacted to it yet. Poignant ballad. But for example, day check out Railroad Song. It's in the old school music but it really rocks as well.

Stan, what you are actually hearing is the blues, not gospel. But as you no doubt know, the blues and gospel are two sides of the same coin because they share many musical characteristics. This is a JJ Cale song originally from his seminal Tulsa blues album "Naturally," which influenced almost no end of rock and rollers from the 1970s onward, like Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Santana and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Thanks for reacting to it and I hope you will do more. They were _the_ greatest Southern Rock band ever, bar none! 🎸🎸🎸🤯👀😉🛸
