True story: They had to go for a fadeout because the band wouldnt stop soloing. They are still in the same studio to this day playing that solo.
@jean-lucasymptotic50835 жыл бұрын
The real kicker is once the solo really starts going, a second guitarist comes in and plays slightly delayed off the lead guitar and tuned slightly different, which is what creates that unique sound of the rising solo - when in reality, it becomes a duet played like two solos. Then the bassist comes in, and adds their own "solo" to the duet and it becomes a stringed trio - and takes on the Mozart or Beethoven style of chamber music of three stringed instruments soloing in unison creating off shoot melodies that turn into harmonies and collapse back into themselves. And then the rhythm guitar enters the frey and BAM a quartet of soloists, a stringed quartet Two Violins (Lead guitars) a Viola (Rhythm Guitar) and a Chello (Bass). The structure of the "solo" is very classical; and so is the execution. It even moves through the eras of common practice music from Baroque (Bach) to Classical (Mozart) to Romantic (Beethoven). Overall it's a composition that, if played by a string quartet would pass as Mozart to the untrained ear.

Sir, I have been listening to this song since the mid 1970's, it is one my all time favorite songs and I have analyzed and over-analyzed every note, beat, lick, riff, and line. In 40+ years of listening to this song, I have NEVER thought of it as a "break-up song". UNTIL NOW! I love your perspective on this classic song, and your interpretation is refreshing. To paraphrase a friend, music is THE universal language, and everyone brings to it their own perspectives and life experiences. Maybe, just maybe if we all talked more about music, and actually listened to each other, we might find out we have more in common as a society than we think. Music has it's roots in primitive humans and has evolved as we have, in a very diverse and sometimes unique way. I'm new to your channel, but am now a Subscriber. Thank you for reminding me that there are more ways to listen to something that I have heard nearly all my life.

In the 70s I watched this band play at an expensive college--I had come from my college to see the band they were opening for--and the crowd was prepared to look down on this southern rock band, but they couldn't hold out for long against their obvious greatness! I was told later some thought my friend and I were groupies because we instantly thought this band was fantastic and were applauding when others weren't. By this song, the audience couldn't deny it! The headliners, The Stories, were a real letdown, even though they were talented, and before long the unknown, exciting opening act was famous!

It's created by those that wish to control us. If Black and White ever get on the same level we would take the world back. We didn't start these issues... They did. Never forget that my brother. Much love!

I subscribed awhile ago bc I truly love your 100% reactions. The day that you tried a different genre of music was the day that you became the best reactor ever. I get so much joy in my heart watching you discover these epic songs - how your eyes light up and the sudden look of understanding. You have inspired me to try to understand rap and hip hop. Thank you so much. I don't think you can ever possibly have an idea of how many lives you have changed, Mr. NoLifeShaq. And I also know that I am not the only one who respects you deeply.

Couldn't agree with you more!! I have always liked rap and hip hop but now I have a much deeper appreciation and respect for those artists because of Shaq. #barology

You stated that perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. I couldn’t agree more. I’m so glad I stumbled across this man’s channel, he’s the best reaction producer out there. The best.

I really appreciate the lyrical analysis. Some reactions are so lame and just tell you if they like it or not. My man actually puts in the work and tries to understand what the song is about!!! RESPECT!!!
