This cover was beautifully done. I love this group. They have made some changes to the group (original Bass Avi was replaced by Matt). All other members are from the original group. You have Scott (blonde bombshell voice)he is also Bass and will take over bassline occasionally. Kevin is the beatboxer of the group who also sings in a higher range and plays cello. Kirsten is messo soprano and holds down melody along with Mitch. Mitch (dark hair bombshell voice) has one of the craziest ranges I've ever heard. If you really wanna be smacked silly go watch their Daft Punk Medley! You won't be disappointed

For all of us with Anxiety, we can identify with this song. The 'shadow selves' walking behind them starts out going forward and they reverse and start going backwards. This is superbly shot and their emotion in their faces and voices just show how we feel when we are in an anxiety attack. 10 seconds in when Matt hits us with his first low note I got chills, and when Mitch said 'See right through me', I choke on a sob. I have seen this video over 25 times now and it still affects me.

Just before this song, Pentatonix released their first original in a long time called Happy Now. It's great! They do excellent covers in every genre. They did a great job on Jolene with Dolly Parton (which they won a Grammy for), they covered Bohemian Rhapsody, Havana, Imagine, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, and more. They also do amazing Evolution medleys where they cover the entire works of artists like Rhianna, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, and Daft Punk (which they won their first Grammy for).

Tears for Fears! Not Tears of Fears! Lol! A great band from the 80's. Pentatonix did a good job. Roland wrote it as he was suffering a lot from depression as a youngster and he used to hide in his room when his parents were arguing and he used to write songs as a kind of therapy.

you are the first reactor who has understood that the line 'the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had' was never meant as suicidal ideation or deepest depression, but transformative. When Tears for Fears released the original, i felt like it had been taken from my thoughts - the world is mad, people act in ways that don't make sense, there's a rule-book out there that everyone's got but me. Nowadays everyone seems to think this is the ultimate in depressive songs, but for me it's still a theme-song for my life.

Yes! There's a video of a fairly recent interview with Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, talking about the book Primal Scream and the meaning of the line about dreams--that the most dramatic dreams are the most helpful in releasing deep tension. (I'm sure that's a very inadequate explanation, but it makes sense to me.)

They do many different genres. I recommend: Folk rock: Sound of Silence Classic rock: Bohemian Rhapsody Indie rock: The Dog Days are Over Punk: Daft Punk (1st Grammy) Classical: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (2nd Grammy) Disney: Can You Feel the Love Tonight? Metal: Born to be Wild Country: Jolene (3rd Grammy) Hip Hop: Can't Hold Us and, of course, there are the Christmas songs. You can pretty much pick your favorite and they have done it. My personal favorite is Mary, Did You Know? even though that might not technically be a Christmas song.

Daft Punk is electronic. Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf is rock, not metal. The lyric phrase "heavy metal" was referring to motorcycles, not to any music genre.

An interesting way of reacting. Certainly different than any other reaction I've seen. I think I liked it. You might want to do their cover of imagine next. Ir literally shows you how different 5 people can be but how they can still be one human. It also has a "wall of sound" in it.which I think we all love and they do it better than most. There are a ton of recommendations I could give you but I have this feel imagine should be next.

Fantastic reaction ! I LOVE PTX. Try listening to "RISE" by Superfruit, (Scott and Mitch, who are Superfruit, with Brian Crum, Mario and also Mary Lambert), which they put together for a tribute after the PULSE CLUB shooting in Florida. It is excellent and powerful ! This song Mad World is from Tears For Fears in the 80s. I also love their Billie Eilish"s "When the Party's Over." Have a fun day !
