Saw Morgan James in concert this past June. The Greatest Singer I've ever seen!!!!! Her Aretha Franklin covers are legend. She sang in 5 Broadway musicals, then started her solo career 2013. Her Soul originals CD "Memphis Magnetic" (2023) and R&B originals CD "Nobody's Fool" (2021) are Outstanding!!!! Singer/songwriter with her husband/guitarist/producer Doug Wamble.

Oh yeah, Morgan James can sang!! She played the part of Tena Marie in Motown: The Musical on Broadway in 2013. She's got some serious pipes!! And really enjoyed ya'll's reaction! Ya'll just crack me up!😂

"Baby, I Love You" - with her husband Doug on dobro - is a beautiful rendition shot at home during the pandemic. Just Morgan relaxing on a couch and absolutely killing it. And the video of "Oh Me, Oh My" - with her own band, including her husband, - is an incredible performance.

Morgan is one of the absolutely finest voices there is today. She's a trained opera singer graduated from the prestigeous Juillard school in New York. After graduation she realized that her heart wasn't so much Maria Callas but way more Aretha Franklin! She can sing anything.

As others have said, this is a Prince Cover. Prince held his music very close and allowed few people to cover his songs. Morgan got his blessing to cover this. It was the last song Prince allowed to be covered before he passed. She sings it at every one of her live shows. You NEED to check out her Original Music. I'd suggest you start with "Ransom" (Our Vinyl Sessions). A very personal song for her, and you can hear it in her voice.
