Wow , Nenah Cherry was a protege of Ari Up who fronted the Slits when she was all of 14. Ari Up's sister is married to John Lydon of PIL & mos famously the Sex Pistols. Neheh appears in a 1980 Slits video for Typical Girls. Nenah, you say it the same as Mina, is a feminist who used images & words ironically that reveal some disturbing truths abou how men attempt to control and define women. Buffalo Stance was huge in 88/89 & still considered the blueprint for music portraying confident women .
