Henk first sung this with Floor on Beste Zangers back in 2019. Henk has sung as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera in the Netherlands on stage for many years but in the traditional musical style not in the Rock style used here which the group used to use back in the Tarja days.

The greatest thing that happened this year is the new album, which deserves a lot more recognition. My favorite songs would be ''The Children of Ata'' & ''An Ocean of Strange Islands'' As much as i loved Nightwish before, the new album absolutely blew my mind. My word! Can't have enough Nightwish reactions.

I love this so much, especially Henk Poort was amazing, but definitely was hilarious hearing his deep voice then have the camera focus on him as he walks in wearing a nightwish t shirt and pants. Like someone's middle age dad got lost and somehow was hilarious. Great to see you really feel this performance. You might want to watch it again, and then pay some extra attention to the second verse that Henk is singing... Because he is an operatic singer who learned to sing with distortion especially for this (see their first performance together in the Beste Zangers tv show, also available online). I'm sure you'll be even more surprised then 🙂

I thought you had done phantom with Floor before when she was on Beste Zangers. She wanted to do this with Henk who was the Phantom in the Dutch version, he agreed on the condition that he could do it with Nightwish someday and this was when it finally happened after the lockdowns. I prefer the Best Zangers version but this is good too. Nightwish released a new album the other month so plenty more to react too. You have already done Perfume but there are videos for "The day of..." and "Lanternlight"

Floor & Henk originally sang this on the Beste Zangers (Best Singers) tv show - (definitely watch that one!) They used the Nightwish version on the promise that Henk could sing it live with Nightwish. Then the pandemic lockdowns happened so it took a lot longer to happen. Floor wanted this version /last note to be a “whistle” note. And what a note it is!!! It had been 17 years since Nightwish had last sung this live at their End of an Era tour - then it was Tarja & Marko - check that out too!!!! New Nightwish album - An ocean of strange islands - Perfume of the Timeless - Lanternlight Lanternlight is so beautiful. 🤍

Well...Henk is a OG Dutch Phantom. This promise was made in Beste Zangers TV show, where the did this song for first time together, that he will sing this song with Floor and Nightwish, when they come to the Netherlands. And this song was a surprise to the fans. Nightwish performed this song last time 17 years ago with Tarja, and now the circle is complete... And that Crowd Roar, when Henk walked on stage, wearing Official "Nightwish Family" T-shirt, but that Floor's last note... it was insane 12,2 sec. NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.

The big smile is partly because she has firstly kept her promise to Hank, and secondly she is a massive fan of Hank Poort who she grew up watching in Phantom of the Opera on stage, so she is ‘fan girling’ as well, please check out their version on bestes zangers, then you will see her totally fan girling. 😁

I was there, it was epic❣️ I was bouncing up and down when I realized they were doing this! So great hearing them do the Phantom again with the official Dutch Phantom! It was a surprise I sort of counted on because it was promised in Beste Zangers 2019.

I am happy to see your love for Floor has not diminished over the course of two years. XD I'm sure others have already told you that Floor did this song with Henk before on a Dutch TV show called "Beste Zangers" (meaning Best Singers), where singers sing for each other. The song is easily found on YT if you want to check it out. What I wanted to recommend is a different song by Floor (solo) on the same show, a cover of Lady Gaga's "Shallow". I mean, if you want to cry some more, that is. *wink wink* Keep up the good work, love your reactions!

They first performed this song together on a Dutch tv show (Beste Zanger,) part of the deal was that if Henk Poort did that then he'd be allowed to sing it with the whole band on one of their performances. That got delayed due to Covid, but this was when they finally made good on the promise ;p There's some other good videos from that Dutch show that you could respond to. Floor Jansen's rendition of "Shallow" by Lady Gaga for example is one I highly recommend reacting to.

Endless Forms Most Beatyful (lyric video). Siren. I dont remember have you heard; The Dark Chest of Wonders? And what about a new songs? Lanternlight?❤ An Ocean Of Strange Islands? The Day Of? And Marko Hietala has also done new music. 😍 Go And check them also. I can recoment these at least: Stones. Frankestain's Wife, Duet whit Tarja; Left on mars. Marko has also join to the tv show Vain Elämää. (Only life) and there is many amazing cover songs of that too.

Ah, you like Pan's labyrinth? Floor fan Pantherapardus created a video with a scene from this movie for Revamp's song "Precibus" search on YT for: "ReVamp - Precibus - Unofficial Music Video" BTW Henk agreed to sing this song with Floor at the Beste Zangers 2019 show, provided that they would sing it also at the next Nightwish performance in Amsterdam. Floor promised, but then Covid kicked in and it was more or less forgotten. But hey, Floor is Floor so they rehearsed this song in secret without the band for this performance, what was a bit of a risk as they could not practise all details. At 8:10 you can see that Floor is giving the sign for his last "Sing for me..." .

I love the more intimate interaction they had on Beste Zangers. It was not Nightwish, but the band played the Nightwish arrangement, and Floor's reaction to Henk using his newly learned rasp voice was precious.

This is the wrong version. You have to see this version (live) instead. It's so much better. The difference isn't even comparable!!! 👇👇👇 The Phantom Of The Opera isn't a Opera, its a musical! Then you should look at this, it's really amazing, Floor's high note in the end is for real (a bit lower D6, but live with a microphonein the hand), the original one E6 on Broadway is prerecorded and a lay over.
