Yesterwynde is an album, that needs time, several listenings to fully grasp all the layers and details in it. It may catch you during the first hearing, but only later you realize, what a jewel this piece of art is. To me there is no "favourite song" (although there are some that touch me on a personal level due to their message), more like the whole album is a really great movie or book. I just wanna read, watch (or in this case listen) it from start to finish.

@@enterthecronic I see the whole album as one song so for me not one favorite song..although the emotion from Floor in Lanternlight is breathtaking. The more you listen to the whole album the better it get's. Nightwish has growing to a next level of perfection.

Yesterwynde - starting with the shots of the old film projector - is the passionate intro to this album. Yesterwynde is like an old concept album by Pink Floyd, you might take the time to listen to it from the first song all thru to the last one. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. The last song -Lanternlight- is my personal song of the year 2024 by far. It is very, VERY different but exactly that is the reason - and it ends again with the projector. For me Nightwish has evolved to one of those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things. And I predict this record will be recognized in decades, just like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the moon. Some records last forever. Greetings from Germany

I´ve listened this album so many times and it feels new every time. I wonder when I reach some limit where I don´t want to listen this so often... And pleaso do watch that making of Yesterwynde!

Something Whispered Follow Me 🤘 I hear clearly Tuomas' "something whispered follow me" moment The 3rd and the Mortal and their influence. Also reminds me stylistically a lot of Kai's former band Swallow the Sun. For me this song is Nordic twin peaks 😄

We all have different musical tastes and that's just my opinion. Of course Nightwish guys are older and don't produce such quality material as they used to. For me best albums of band ended with Imaginaerum. But last album made me happy because it is definitely better than HN. For me HN is a failure in general. All songs from the last album on which official videos were made are good and went to my playlist. Only annoying thing is Troy's emotionless, tedious, boring singing. Didn't Tuomas after first album (where he sang himself) realize that such a vocal as his doesn't match with powerful epic music.

I have problem with this album like I have with HN. I’m used that NW have give to me great fantastic music. But now they turned into Moody folkmusic , with to much Troy and to little Emppu and Floor. Best era was Tarja and also her duetts with Marko.

I love every to me personal period/transition from Nightwish. Like when Marko wasn't part of Nightwish. My favorite song by Tarja; Creek Mary's blood Annette; Meadows of Heaven Floor; Lantern light It is also very special that Tarja, Marko are still performing Nightwish songs. A lot of Nightwish Army are going to their solo shows because, they are good and out of sentiment in the hope that they will perform those songs.
