Welldone reaction to my song of the year. You nearly were spot on with your analyse. Song was written by Tuomas as the first one he did during the pandemic and referring to the passing of his father. Singer in the end is Troy, the multiinstrumentalist. The lyrics is a letter of acceptance, transformation, and release. "I am the snow in your palm" speaks of how, when we die, we never truly leave; we become part of the nature of the universe. In this way, we transform into something eternal and far greater and more important than human existence. The light of those people from the past will accompany us in those small details that always bring us peace-gazing at the stars, the snow in your palm. About Floor, our alltime Queen: When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. I am emotionally in pieces, yet feel comforted and calm at the same time. This song is nothing short of a masterpiece and seriously one of the most beautiful things I have heard in my life. There is a purposefulness and maturity in this that few other artist have. How they can emotionally play me like a puppet on a string and make me feel things exactly the way they want is insane. I can't explain it, but this is perfect. Just perfect. Stunning.

Troy is the one singing the male's portion at the end, and other parts in the song. I believe that some of what you hear at the end is Troy on the Uilleann Pipes.

Could that instrument be Long Flute? But Troy can play all pipes and flutes, so I’m not sure. But yes, this song is a classic already. Hauntingly beautiful! ❤
