A Canadian Moroccan girl. So happy she's from my country of Canada. Unfortunately this beautiful talented singer-songwriter had to go to China to become really well known. She entered competitions this year over there did so so well and became an overnight sensation this year ! She is known as Yaya because they love her so much in China. Unfortunately in North America and Canada our home country hardly known , sadly I could talk to 10 people on the street. Maybe one has heard her name. This is so sad but do not worry. She will return home soon and get the recognition. dhe so deservedly should have. This girl is so talented. It's Beauty, brains and talent. She plays three instruments, speaks three languages and just completed her university degree in engineering. This girl has it all and the world is her stage. She can sing the lows, the highs and transitions seamlessly through all her registers to deliver an absolutely powerful performance. Thank you my friend so much for discovering her on your channel and please keep posting many many videos by her. She is absolutely one of the very best out there and through your channel I know and she'll get even more recognition. Keep posting my friend. Welcome back to Faouzia. If you like her, she is hard to resist. She’s sung “Paparazzi” in the past, including as a mash up with her song “Hero”. It’s her going low in the verses that is different. Rewatching these here, I’m reminded again how good the orchestra and backing vocals have been in this competition. And they really suit her voice. My problem with her pop songs, is modern production style doesn’t let her voice shine. Anyway, the orchestration is especially good on her next song, “Cry Me a River”. You are not halfway yet. You’ve only reacted to one of my four favorite Faouzia performances from the competition. From here on, (until the finale) she was either 1st or 2nd for the night. Have fun.

In the next song Faouzia’s covering Justin Timberlake’s 2002 song “Cry Me a River”, not the one from the 1950’s that Julie London and also Ella Fitzgerald were known for.
