The guitarist doing the crazy good solo is her husband - Neil "Spyder" Geraldo. They're still touring, they're still married and they're still rocking it like it's the 80s all over again.

Came to said the same, but I wasn't 100% sure about the "marriage" part. I saw a TV special a couple years back. Her and her husband doing an acoustic, softer concert of her greatest hits. And we all know she had many of those!

Yes, there is no case to be made she didn't get airplay or media love. You couldn't escape her... consider the beginning of "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" where all the high school girls try to dress like her! That said, she deserved it. One of best frontwomen ever, along with Janis Joplin, Deborah Harry, Chrissy Hynde and Gwen Stefani.

She didn't even get half the single releases in the UK that she did in America. I looked up wikipedia and discogs and I was shocked to see how few releases we actually got this side of the pond; I took for granted all the ones on her compilations which are so iconic we also got here, but nope. Don't know what kind of representation she had in the UK with her label, but they seriously messed up. I still think she's incredibly underrated, especially over here.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. I graduated high school in 1983 and I can tell you she got tons of airplay. Not only that but loads of people wearing her concert t-shirts and girls rocking Pat Benatar short haircuts. She got plenty of her well deserved roses. I daresay we called her the queen of rock and roll back then. In the early 80s there was no other woman doing rock getting more attention on MTV or on the radio.

She was all over the radio before MTV, when this song came out,, and then became one of the most aired female artists of the video age. I was there. By the way that's her boyfriend Neil Geraldo on guitar, whom she would later marry and is still married to this day. Outstanding guitarist, he plays all the guitars on Rick Springfield's mega hit "Jessie's Girl".

I have been waiting for you to get to this one for a long time. Pat Benatar provides us her full range on this track . She was true to herself and because she wouldn’t belittle herself to industry expectations she was overlooked. Fortunately the her fans wouldn’t do the same . Her and husband, lead guitarist Neil Giraldo, proved integrity outlasts any compromise for minor gains. Pat Benatar is a true star because all she needed was a stage, and her band to shine..

This is without a doubt my favorite Pat Benatar song! It has her amazing singing, the high notes are insane, Neils solo is hot, the lyrics are so on point, and everything comes together perfectly!! amazing! Got to meet both of them about 10 years ago after a show, and they were wonderful, and humble and so cool. Pat Benatar got plenty of radio airplay and MTV airplay ("You Better Run" was the second video ever played on MTV when it launched on Aug 1, 1981, right after "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles) and lots of recognition, too. Pat won four consecutive Grammys for Best Female Rock Performance in 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984 (plus five other Grammy nominations), as well as three wins at the American Music Awards. She is a national treasure!

Yes her voice is amazing, but her looks and, most importantly the amazing inner love she has for her art and what she sings about shines through strong. Pat and Neil are amazing people and a testament of how true love can go on even in a Rock-N-Roll life. The guitarist is her husband of almost 43 years Neil "Spyder" Geraldo. She kept her fist husbands name as it was already a known name and worked.

One of the best female voices in rock. Made it possible with many others like Joan Jett, Heart and several others when few women were in rock and crushing it

The guitarist is Pat's Husband. One of those Rock 'n Roll marriages that defied odds.
