In case you missed it, Kevin who was playing the cello was also beatboxing at the same time. It is something he originated called celloboxing. As good as they all are, Kevin's talents are often overlooked even though he is arguably the most talented member of the group. To see his brilliance on full display, check out his solo KOver of 'Down' by Marian Hill. It is EPIC.

Melanie PopKel them dueting in this manner is my all time favourite PTX thing. Avi is his double bass. And it’s just... seamless. That they remain totally and perfectly in sync, regardless of which of their “voices” they use, blows my mind.

Oh, if we're doing medleys? "HISTORY OF MUSIC"!! It's way old but it's the first thing of theirs I ever heard and it's _adorable_ and they switch from style to style over many decades _effortlessly_ , and that part where it slowly fades from black and white to color...! It's one of my fave videos on KZbin for a reason. :D

More Pentatonix? Their cover of "Imagine" ripped my heart out in the best way possible, and for something adorable and weirdly educational, "The Evolution of Music"! They switch flawlessly from style to style starting with freaking _Gregorian Chants_ and ending up with "modern" (at the time) pop. I love the heck out of it.

This song brings back memories of Vegas. Driving down the Strip when this came on the radio, holding the hand of someone who was bound to walk away. The bittersweet emotion of being next to her, knowing the end was approaching fast. When your heart tells your brain "I know she's leaving, but be quiet. Until that moment comes, let me enjoy every sound, touch, scent, sight, and kiss." Ah, being young and in love is amazing!

I've seen a ton of these folks and I've never been disappointed. Still blows me away that they create it all with their voices and bodies. Kevin, I hate to say the beat boxer, because he is SO MUCH more. Just live a drummer in a traditional band, he is the motor that drives so much of what they are able to accomplish! They are all, truly amazing, in my opinion!

Pentatonix is the most successful acapella group in history. The only instruments they have from time to time is the cello, because their beatboxer, Kevin Olusola, is a master cellist. This is an earlier video. And they don’t just do covers. Their newest song, “Happy Now”, is an ORIGINAL. And keep in mind, their original bass, Avi Kaplan, left in the fall of 2017, for personal reasons. It was amicable, and he helped choose their new bass, Matt Sallee. To get a true depiction of Matt’s talent, watch “He’s a mean one, Mr Grinch”-Matt had the solo!!
