Only Avi can harmonize with a cello. I love this song so much!
@paulwood28635 жыл бұрын
Me too! I just noticed when watching this reaction that both Mitch and Scott have parts where they're harmonizing with the cello. Mitch at 1:26 while Scott harmonizes with Kirstin's lead, and then immediately after at 1:46, Scott and Mitch trade places - Mitch then harmonizing with Kirstin and Scott with the cello. But no one can harmonize at the low end like Avi can. This is easily one of their best covers.

It is so beautiful. Avi just breaks your heart in this one. Kevin makes you resigned to the fate and loved Kristien emotional lead. .They all have so much emotion. You feel it. I love how they harmonize with the cello. If you want something more upbeat. Avi and Kevin don't sing but you hear their fantastic beat & bass and Mitch kills the lead is an old video Royal or Gold

I understand where you're coming from.....Gives you all the 'feels' Kristan had a chance to shine as well. She killed her vocals......Kevin has a beautiful voice but we never hear enough of him.......As for Avi when you know he's my fav. But when he sings there's just something so special about his voice....so rich and warm and smooth......then when he's hitting those low baritone bass notes you feel it in you toes.....One of my fav songs from PTX.....Loved your reaction to it........it's is hard to talk after it.....you have to sit with it a while....

Definately one of my favourites as well. Just the emotion of it, they all look and sound so broken hearted. And then Avi comes in and I just shatter. I must have heard this song a hundred times and I'm always teary-eyed at the end of it. Or just straight up bawling XD

It's just my opinion, but I think Kirstie is the glue in this group! Her voice is so beautiful, and she doesn't get as much credit as she deserves for this groups sound. I think she kills it in this video.

Yeah, anybody who's ever been through a slow, painful break-up ... this just puts you right back into it. Kirsti's voice ... it's like you can *hear* her heart breaking, even as she's trying to be strong. Loved the reaction, certainly understood how overwhelmed you felt. As in other comments I have made with other reactors I call this song, “devastatingly beautiful”. Also, it is a fantastic example of how you can take a song that has so made repetitive lines and melodies and keep it interesting. Think about how many times those lines and phrases were repeated and what Pentatonix did to keep your interest. That’s what makes them Masters (and thank you, Ben Bram, for knowing the singers well enough to arrange the music to suit their strengths)

This version is moving & amazing! Little bit of trivia: The original of this song, by pop duo "A Great Big World" did not have Christina Aguilera on it. The initial version climbed into the top 20 on iTunes one day after being featured on the show, "So You Think You Can Dance." After hearing the song, Christina wanted to collaborate with the duo and they re-recorded the now famous version which was released exactly a month after the original version's release and became a #1 smash and a worldwide hit.

This song, this video, Kirstin and Avi, shred my emotions every single time. I'm sorry, but I put off watching your reaction because I just wasn't ready. I want to be supportive of your channel tho, so I finally bit the bullet and just watched it. Kirstin broke my heart. But oddly, I actually got mad at Avi because he really DID break my heart.. not just because of the his very emotive and beautiful solo. Wasn't expecting that. Check out PS22 Choir in New York(on KZbin). There was no music classes in the school, due to no funding. Mr. B came in as a teacher and asked if he could start a 5th grade (10 yr olds) choir on his own. He has put love in those children's hearts. They sing popular songs. The artist hear of the choir and some of them surprise the children by stopping by during class and actually do their songs with them. The artists are brought to tears.

Honestly this is their best cover. I honestly can't stand the original song at all, have never made it through the entire song once.
